@PNWStrainhunter wanted to say something but was having trouble replying. could someone with more technical support experience give him a hand in a pm?
Having recently been TL1 myself, I can verify that you need to be TL2 to post in these threads.
I stand corrected!
5 out of the 6 are sexed. Numbers stand at 3 male and 2 female with the last unknown leaning towards female only cause it’s giving me zero hints at its sex at. Usually males come out to party early!
Male #3
Unknown plant
Sorry for the confusion, not a herm… just early male preflowers
Well, speaking of herms…I’ve been keeping a close eye on C-3 for just that. I think I’m convinced I’ve seen enough…they headed into quarantine now. Axe man has been notified. What you all think?
Can definitely see the start of some balls in a couple of those shots
Yeah it’s either male or hermie, I’ve been uncertain about the pistils. But there is a few spots that I am just about convinced are throwing pistils too.
Send it to the compost pile

I think you should maybe check your grow area for light leaks. And maybe reconsider your regimen, too, if you have a regimen (I don’t). Maybe you’re pushing them too hard? Goji isn’t known for having herm issues. I’m not criticizing at all, but 99 times out of a hundred, herms are grower error. Something in my last grow hermed, didn’t catch it and everything ended up seeded. I only realized it once I started trimming and a bunch of seeds fell out of every nug haha. I thought,”This can’t be my fault…” and then I sat in the tent with the lights off and found, like, three little light leaks. That’s all it took.
Anyway, yeah, I’ve never really heard about Goji having herm issues.
It’s my fault, I know!!
Feed is straight rain water, living soil, microbes…They got one aloe leaf fpj foliar, that they seemed to enjoy. They all appear happy to me.
I don’t think it’s light leaks either, it’s in a blacked out shed, there’s nothing to leak light in.
I would say moderately low temps w occasional high swings in humidity, as a possible environmental culprit.
Looking at those pics a little closer, some of them don’t look like herms, though; they just look like males. Even males will throw some pistils. The way I always (try to) tell is when the preflowers kinda “cross,” like an X. That’s usually a sure sign the plant is female. I’m not seeing that in those pics. And that isn’t even always a sure sign of female-ness, either. I just had to toss two Imperial Majesty plants that I was certain were female, had the crossed preflowers and everything. Put them into flower and they were definitely not female haha.
I dunno, maybe somebody who knows better than I can chime in. I’m not positive those are herms, though.
Those last six photos I posted were all from the same plant. I’d say I’m not quite 100% certain, but close to it. It’s definitely got balls, but the pistils just today really started to look like actual pistils in three different spots.
I’m gonna wait to hear some more folks opinions before off-ing em too quick
Yeah, the only pic that looks kind of,”Hmmm…” is the last one. The rest of them just look like a male plant. Still, you don’t wanna fuck this up and introduce some kind of weirdness into this seed run. I always say,”Trust your instincts.” If you think it’s a herm, if you’re even just getting weird vibes from that plant, toss it. No need to fuck around. But yeah, let’s see what everybody else thinks.
I was supposed to just be watching this grow, too haha. Didn’t sign up for seeds, I’m just curious to see it unfold haha. I’ll shut up now. Carry on.
Hay catapult, if they were mine, and there’s not a ton, I’d pluck the ballish looking bits off, and just keep a close eye on them.
I’ve had more than a few of B’s Appy plants throw some early balls down low, plucked them, and never saw any more. I know Goji doesn’t have any Appy in it, but…
I see definite balls in photos 1 and 4. I see definite pistils in photos 2, 3, 5, and 6. photo 3 looks like it could have a ball on the left, and a pistil on the right.
looks like a herm to me.
Yes, you do have to met requirements to pm but it isn’t much. Are they brand new here.
That’s what I see too.
Going to go w my instincts on this one. C-3 is down for the count. With five other males and three females to work with, I don’t see any reason to include the unstable one.
Thanks for the input folks!
Flipped mine to flower yesterday. The runt had decided to declare male just in time so it made its way in for a total of 11! So far there are 5 males, 4 females, 2 undecided (prob females). Noticed some 3 blade leaves on the two undecided - OG leaners?
I flipped yesterday as well… lol least now I don’t gotta count days. I’ll just go with whatever day you say yours are!
