I’ll put that somewhere else real quick… disregard

Honestly, just leaving the oven light on with the door closed in my oven will raise the temperature to over 30C/86F! This is how I store my sourdough starter in the winter right before I make pizza or bread. It works great!

i gotta take another stab at a sourdough starter.

Same. I make bread or focaccia every week, but I do yeasted breads with just a pinch of yeast and bulk fermentation overnight. Seems like a levain is the next logical step!
I recommend a blog called The Perfect Loaf if you want to dive deeper, he’s great.

Day 20 of flip update:
i plan to pollinate within the next ten days. A1 is developing a nice cherry/berry smell very similar to A2, while the chocolate smell is still very strong as well.
much like these candies

stretch has brought her apical bud to within 4 inches of the lights and i fear that the budswell will invariably ruin the flower and the seeds. i pinched the stem again and pulled her over to the space where A2 was occupying.

she’s smelling nice that is for sure. i can already tell the smell is changing to a more tart berry - i suppose thats what a goji berry is?
hopefully she reveges no problem for me. i’ve got a bunch of lower growth at soil level.

Had to have some unexpected surgery this week so I haven’t been as productive as I wanted due to recovery time. I did manage to get clones of all the plants, but unfortunately I let the plants go dry a couple of time by accident and walked in on them drooping badly. Everything got watered directly after that so the plants recovered okay but I am going to have to keep an eye out for nanners since Goji seems to be sensitive to environmental stress. I haven’t been able to setup the flood and drain tables or get the plants transplanted into bigger pots so thats the next goal. Plants seems to be bouncing back from taking clones so they need to get flipped SOON before they get out of control.

Hope you get to feeling closer to a hundo soon my dude

Damn man, wishing you a speedy recovery! Take care of yourself first and everything else will fall in place.

@The_Lazy_Hippie sorry to hear about your troubles, I can’t imagine too many scenarios where unexpected surgery is a good thing but I hope you bounce back quickly!

Hope you feel better dude! I’m sure the plants can ride in the solos for a little while longer, god knows I’ve tortured some plants that way and they came out alright. You can always try a re-veg on anything that doesn’t make it through cloning too.

Here we go 15 days into flower.

Do my best to explain if anyone has questions

Whole tent

female I1

Female I2

Female I3… she was showing to be a male on node 5 or 6. Once flowered, she was showing bud hairs and I clipped the 2 make flowers I saw at the nodes. Been checking her every night and so far nothing else. I relay this info to the community but need to add Asterix. My grow was getting very cold at lights out. High 40s/low 50s as we had a very nice stretch of days that outside temps didn’t get above 10f. Anyways, here she is.

And the males…

Male # 1, tallest in front middle of whole tent photo

Male # 2

Male # 3

I will say that this strain, from my checkered past with it, tend to be very sensitive. Environment, nutrients, training. They can def not be happy and do shit you don’t want. That being said, it’s a great strain and we’ll worth making more of and if you all growing it. Just have to be on top of it. The final product is one you remember for years.

Little update on my end - Day 36F, moved the 6 females to a 3x3 with 150w HPS to finish up - seeds are beginning to burst out of the calyxes! Added a 2x4 raised bed to my 4x4 and plan on running the Goji clones in it. All Goji females are backed up (phew) with rooted clones finally. After discussing with the group - it looks like 4 of my Goji females will not be viable for the preservation run due to showing minor hermie tendencies around week 2-4. They all had a few balls show up - probably the OG Kush heritage coming into play, haven’t seen any more in the past 2 weeks or so. I caught them all before anything happened. They will be finished out unless they display further hermie issues that could compromise the run, and I’ll test them as clones. I’ll post pics soon highlighting the 2 stable parents - R4 and R8. R4 is my favorite so far in smell - sour candy berry, but it’s also the lankiest and was the first to require staking.

One interesting observation - I skipped one day of watering thinking they could go 1 day between waterings - 4 of the 6 were very unhappy and siphoned energy from the lower fan leaves. 2 didn’t care at all! Interestingly - the two that didn’t care were the ones that smell the most earthy / kushy. The other 4 have berry / candy / chocolate aromas. So perhaps the OG dominant ones are more draught resistant.

man, bummer that they showed herm traits like that. how do you like that 150 watt hps in the 3x3? ive got a couple that i picked up off craigslist, havent actually flowered anything out with them yet though, after i got em i had the thought that they might not have enough juice to em.

Not “for”, “from”! So you better be damn sure I eat em all!

Yeah, definitely a bummer. I’m hoping one of the stable ones is a keeper so the preservation seeds come from the favorite. Thankfully with all of us running these there will be tons of seeds to go around even when excluding a decent portion of females. They seem fine though after cleaning up the undersides, so I’m optimistic for the clone runs.

I used the 150w in my 2x2.5 tent for awhile to great results - super easy and hands off growing with it. Not too hot, but hot enough. Not amazing for yields, but for finishing up some seed plants I think it’s more than sufficient for the 3x3. In the future I’ll probably use a 400w hps or 315w cmh in the 3x3 for non-seeded runs.
