Bodhi Seeds - Goji OG Crowd Source F2 Preservation (closed)

Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum! How are my fellow Goji Growmies?!

More deets and pics on my personal grow thread but the plants have been chopped and are currently hanging. Everything has been cleaned and the next cycle of clones have been up potted and placed in the flowering tent for the next pollination run with pollen from @G-paS

Here we are right at chop:

The next run begins!

I have more clones in the background for a sensi run in about 10wks. I will do my best to provide a better environment to avoid intersex traits for this next seed run. The pollen is a good mix of males so these will be a better representation of an open pollination style.

It’s a shame what happened because it looks like my timing would’ve been perfect for the Spring Box. Even though most of us haven’t received the Fall Box yet lol But either way, I told @The_Lazy_Hippie I would make some good seeds and dammit I intend to keep my word!

Everyone should be pretty close to harvest time! Best of luck finishing out the run.

Dude I fell off, I had no idea you chopped already, congrats on the harvest! Love that first shot of the bud with the lil seed poking out. Hoping for better luck for you this next go round. :v:t2:

Those are some nice chunky goji’s you grew @NorthNorthNugs !!

Mine are all trimmed up and hanging, here’s C5

I took a bud off C8, which has the strongest most delicious smell, but also the smallest buds. Got close to hundred off one wispy little bud.

Does ANYONE have any Goji pollen they would be willing to share ? It will be for a great cause as I too am planning an f2 from original f1 stock problem is I only have 4 females

I have some in the freezer I could send out. Prefer to keep it in the US, PM me if ya want.

Canadian sadly my friend. I do appreciate it though. If you don’t mind leaving US. (I receive things from there weekly) let me know. Thank you for the offer either way.

Great thread guys, just caught up. Has anyone smoked anything from this preservation grow? Did it live up to the hype? I’ve always wanted to know myself.

@HumblePie420 I have. I treat my seed harvest a bit different than my sensi runs. No slow drying here, quick and dirty, wet chop all the leaves

They hang for a couple days to get rid of the bulk of the moisture. This time of year my forced hot air heating, makes quick work of that. Then they go into buckets, so that as they fully dry out, the seeds can drop into the bucket. Paper bags work too.

When I go into buckets, there is still some moisture inside the buds, I give them a little bruising at this point. I find that a bunch of seeds will fall out at this stage while the remaining leaf and flower matter will stay on the branch. This helps start the sorting process. Anyways…as I did that w C8, my entire hand got coated w a 1/16” layer of hash, and it was this moment that I like, you know, I really should try smoking some of this. You know, it hadn’t really occurred to me as an option before that cause I don’t usually smoke my seed runs, but well, this one I have now been smoking off it since, even though I have plenty of other sensi options available, even another goji, lol, so idk, hype is a hard thing to quantify, but I’m real excited to try this pheno in a sensi run, that’s for sure:)

Just received 1 package of pollen and 3 envelopes from the U.S…… not sure what the condescending remark was for.

Update here - all chopped and hanging as of this weekend! Preparing clones for a sensi run soon. In the end, there were 4 similar phenos with earthy / OG / bad breath terps (r2, r6, r8, r9), 1 with lemon OG terps (r3), and my favorite with raspberry candy terps (r4). R2, R3 were the frostiest.

Hey bud didn’t mean to come across that way. Just have some reservations about sending plant matter across the border that’s all. No offense intended and when you said Canada I was like that’s fine I prob should have said us / Canada preference, my bad. Either way, glad you were able to get hooked up.

All good, just seemed to come off extremely condescending, things tend to come across callous on the internet I suppose. My bad. Thanks for the explanation, wasn’t Goji though sadly.

Ive been told I can be hard to read irl, so yeah internet can be sticky sometimes, lol. No worries here. Not sure I understood ya exactly, but the offer is still up if you were saying that you had not found goji pollens yet.

Ewwwweeeeee! Shit gettin real now! My plants have just been straight up hanging since last Weds. Still a bit of moisture so I’ll prob just let them hang for another 5-7 days or so. Looking forward to some finger hash too lol

Pretty damn cool. Imagine when you run them seedless! I managed to find them from Pacific Seed Bank but they are not from Bodhi and they only had them as fems. I grabbed a pack. Hope to find whatchu guys are tasting.
