Bodhi Seeds - Goji OG Crowd Source F2 Preservation (closed)

Dang I can finally reply in here. Nice work everyone. I got some F2s send my way I will use to preserve the line and make F3s. Someone on RIU made them and I saw a few grown out from another member to perfection. Things like this preservation project are what makes this community special.

Seed size. All are on the large size as far as seeds go but that 1 is like 40% larger.

I do think it might be larger cause it was at the top of the plant, only about 10" from the light. Just better efficiency?

Whoa, yea those are some big ones for sure

I’ve had large beans grow adjacent to much smaller ones. Im not positive why.

my guess is the bigger seed came from a bract that was pollinated before the adjacent bract was pollinated allowing it to have less restrictions physically.

I think it is a crowding thing and if pistils are still popping out.
All the seed in the single bracket by the nodes were 2-3 times bigger and the more seeds in a bud the smaller. I ended up with two very different sizes

This has been really fun to watch!! I know it’s still ongoing but I’ve had a blast reading through this thread

Wow, that’s almost double! That first pic up there looked like you took it down to the detail shop for a wax! Nice healthy beans.

I’d be too curious to not grow it right away, heh. It may be twins, or maybe a monster stud male. It is unique compared to the others.

Maybe if you cracked it open it would be a 3 pak with seeds inside…

I figured I’d mention that the Goji plants I didn’t use in the pollination because they showed some early herm traits are now in week 6 of flower(clones of the original plants) and haven’t shown any intersex traits.

I know I’m ultra late to the party but I have a full very old pack of Goji OG sitting in the seed fridge if you want them…

Aweeeeee yeahhhhhhhh!!!

Lol What’s up everyone. Remember my tiny seedlings?!

They made all this!!!

This plant literally never ceases to amaze me.

Took me about 1-2 hrs per plant. N4 was the lowest A Grade seed yielder with probably 60% of her seeds under developed. The rest produced about the same amount of A Grade seeds. To refresh your memories, I only used 1 male for my plants due to the fact that a lot of them grew pollen sacks in week 3 of flower. I pollinated them just to get some practice doing runs and to also get some seed to give away to those who just want to grow this plant for some headstash.

I have the clones (except N7 bc that clone died sadly) going right now for a secondary seed run where I will use the pollen from @G-paS that combined multiple males for more of an open pollination. They are currently in day 14 of flower. WIll keep a close eye this week to see if they grow any pollen sacks. The temps are warmer at night now so I have a feeling they will cruise through it just fine.

Oh wow !

That’s awesome !

I love that you separated all the beans that way. I am going to separate mine as well to help with future hunts… if my plans work :crossed_fingers:

What kind of phenos or terps did you get off your girls ?

They certainly gave you plenty to work with in the future haha
I love how many seeds she produces :green_heart:

Well I wanted to keep them separate because I only used 1 male and for a learning experience for myself and whoever else is interested in learning. I figure that it will be a lot of fun to run the seeds from the different moms side by side to observe the next generation and what traits passed and didn’t pass.

Most of the smells before chop were lemon, floral, berry and super glue or solvent. Upon breaking up all phenos there was a very heavy super glue smell from the terps. Headache inducing almost from all those terps in the air when I was rubbing my hands through the material to break it up. Pheno number 8 was the exception. She was straight floral, candied lemon. Like straight fresh lemon, sweet and very floral, like a fresh flower garden. Honestly my mouth was kind of watering the whole time I was breaking up the material on that one.

Will be interesting to see the next few runs and if that carries forward as the weather starts to warm up and my tent temps increase.

That’s awesome haha
All of them sounds delicious, but yeah #8 sounds special indeed.
And that’s exactly how I planned to separate mine. That way like you I can know what came from where. Im glad you did it that way.
Now you can grow out some seeds that that special girl gave you. You’ll have better chances of finding and isolating those terps she had now.

I’m interested to see what you find in the future, so please keep me updated.

What a great haul @NorthNorthNugs great work brother. I see that you’re using the small seed strainer from a sprout cup to sift those seeds. Tricky tricky! Happy for your success man!

Thanks bud!

Ya man, I rubbed the material between my hands then scooped it into that seed strainer and swirled it in circles with my index finger and shook it around, released a lot of plant material. Saved a good amount of time and effort. A lot of the sticks and white seeds float to the top and you can just scrape them out with your fingers.

It might be a little early still for these Goji F2’s, but I like to do a germ test before sending out seeds.

6 of 9 w tails after 48 hours wet. I’d say we’re good to go:)
