Sorry to dig this thread up from the grave. Would you say these would be those predatory mites as well.
They appeared a couple weeks after adding in a biochar/barley/ricehull/vermiculite/bokashi top dressing. They’re only on the soil and container, none on the pamt themselves, and only in 2/3 containers which are the only ones with that top dress.
They don’t appear to be two spotted mites. They are moving fairly fast too. So yeah, some kind of soil mite. Keep an eye out and see if they move up the plant.
