Bull Chat... Cattle and Flies

Yeah I’m betting he meant horse flies , I grew up around cattle and been around then my entire life highlanders that I have been around seem more docile vs brahma, but that could be because of the amount of hands on timr with the farmers with them idk. Theres a big size difference and a pissed brahama is almost as bad as a pissed bison lol . F1 tiger stripe brangus are hell on hooves seems like all of them are schizophrenic and always wild angry lol But here in the states well at least in my area if you see highlanders there’s usually only 4 or 5. Not herds of 100s where as commercial cattle they are plentiful in numbers .

Hard to have lots of highlanders because at the stock auctions they don’t demand the same value. They grow slower. But the end meat is much higher quality with a lot less fat and they get great marbling on shitty feeds. Most I have seen are very docile because of the farmers who get highlanders usually spend a lot more time brushing them then a big farm would. That being said a bulls a bull if he gets in a bad mood watch out. I litterally push my cows around and should probally be more fearful than I am. My last calfing I was under my cow with the bull in the field helping it get its culostrum. Not many farmers will even go in the same field as their bull.

Edit im not sure how big bramhas get. But our bull Flynn comes from stock on the large size of the highlands. But Compared to an Angus bull he surely is much smaller. But he would gladly challenge it to a fight. I hear the horns smash on my cattle from fields away.

Anyone who isn’t at least a little bit scared hasn’t really seen how a bull acts on a farm. Impossible to predict a bulls behavior.

That’s actually pretty cheap. Shame we don’t have them in Mississauga. I may have to drive to Brampton.

I’ve had many many close calls with cattle, Imo they all belong on a grill #killthemall lol

Guy Fieri has a meat brand? Another good reason to not shop at loblaws.

I almost never eat red meat but when I do it’s the good stuff
