Bull Chat... Cattle and Flies

I want to know how that works. Are you assigned to one cow or multiple? If more than one is it always the same group or just whichever cows are tense? Are you a certified masseuse? Is there any extra schooling for catering to bovine clientele?

There’s no way it’s one masseuse per cow right? Shit’s expensive but it’s not “personal masseuse tax” expensive.

I’m not a filet guy.

Needs a higher fat content for flavour IMO.

Any steak I need to wrap in bacon is a hard pass for me…

Speaking of steak…

I expect some judgement for the “extra services” some of us cow massagers offer but not the base services!

Yeah well one of us gets to walk out of the house every day draped completely in leather and one of us doesn’t. Who looks ridiculous now?

Not sure how I got roped into this cattle thread lol. I was getting notifications and this thread was set to watching :joy:. But that’s some nice steaks I’ve been seeing looking through this hehe

I was afraid of being around people, you know, Covid!!! So I quit my job on Wall Street and took a job as a cow massager.
Ended up with mad cow disease!!!
I JUST CAN’T CATCH A BREAK!!!

Gotta say I’m not sure about the bull running from a fly…kind of reminds me of the young bull old bull joke.
I will say this I had the wildest ride of my life when I was riding my BLM mustang out in the field early in his training, he was about three. We accidentally walked over a hornets nest that was low on the ground. If I had tried to slow him down I would have definitely been bucked off. I just let him have his head and run he hopped a little and then took off like a bottle rocket had been shoved up him ass. I was much younger and managed to keep my seat.
My folks were missouri hillbillies and in that part of the world horses are seen as luxury that eat grass the cattle need. So many Missouri idiots told me their four wheeler could do anything my horse could.
Right. Whatever

Ok lol if they say so… never seen a 4 wheeler love and protect you! n the 70s I had a mustang/morgan 3 tone pinto. Big ol roman nosed sucker that loved PB&J sandwiches lol he’d stand guard over me and keep snakes away while I slept in the high desert of Arizona on snake hunts.

Have you ever read up on Steak-umms? Let me put it this way- I like them and used to eat them before I read up on them. I no longer eat them.

This is a red bill blue pill moment! If you really like them I suggest taking the blue pill and making a sandwich.

I was raised being taught horse power trumps horses. I’ve come to realize I was taught quite wrong. I’d love to get a horse that I could ride around the farm, help me work the cattle, and use in the bush. Got recommendations of hardy breeds to start my research with?

Na. But I can imagine. I don’t love them. But I do love cheese steaks. I don’t want to ruin that.

@Trowertripper I was wondering why you were driving a car in a field. I’m a city boy for sure.

Man, for farm work in general for working cows specifically, it’s hard to beat the American Quarter Horse.

Steak umms and cheesesteaks have nothing to do with each other. I won’t eat steak umms anymore but I’ll eat a cheesesteak any time. Actually what I found out about them came from a lawsuit between a legit cheesesteak place suing for implying their product was anywhere near a real cheesesteak.

Like NYC and Philly Jersey doesn’t fuck around when it comes to cheesesteaks!

You need a good mule Brother. I grew up around both. My father bred and broke mules and draft horses his whole life. Plus we always had Quarter horses for breeding riding mules and we rode them also. Mules are great for all around use, you could get harness and plow your garden and pull wagons and firewood. I’m a mule man through and through but a good Quarter horse would also be a great choice

I shoulda clarified that comment I made lol I use em for ‘make-do’ around the house lol I too love a good philly cheesesteak (only without the cheese whiz)
