Burnt/yellowed leaf tips

I’m using ProMix HP with extra perlite… but all the watering is wicked up from the reservoir. I’ve replaced the 970ppm water with 590ppm.
I’ll keep a close watch to see if the tips get worse, and try a plain water flush if they do.
How can you tell if it’s light burn vs. nutrient burn? (I also turned the light down a notch… so it’s back at 400 PPFD)

It’s hard to tell but generally if there is damage on leaf tips only that is to much nutrition. When reviewing the details you look for things out of tolerance. The high ppm and ppfd are the 2 things that seem a little high. I’m thinking if you would have gradually gotten up to these numbers over a period of time it probably would’ve been fine. Just give it a little time when you make adjustments spread them out. Cheers !!!

Not sure about the 2 much light thing. Depends on plant size and how much lighting power your using, room size too i suppose. .

I really cant it see it being overfeeding with that ppm if plant is a fair old size in full veg or bloom is my opinion, really dont its not gonna be running that ppm unless plants are tiny. I don’t know what stage you are at with plants and i cant see plant size either but growing in water with salt base ferts if plants a nice size especially in early bloom i really dont think 700 and 800ppm fert strength is too high at all and more so for those first 4 weeks or so of bloom, whilst its growing like mad before dropping them back down. But yes if it is a deficiency and your ph is good its a simple fix and just a case of upping feeds is way to go. Just a stab at it.

These plants are in early veg… 30 days from seed.

If thats case and plant is still smallish then 600ppm of ferts should be enough atmo.

In all honesty if its just odd few leaves around top of plant and if its not getting any worse or spreading allover place fast, then id prolly just go with the adage of “fuck it and see” i wouldn`t sweat it too much and id just keep eye on them. These plants are hardy things for sure.

If those tips do turn dark browny, crispy & scabby looking then it maybe an idea to lower feeds, but i wouldn’t worry too much atmo about that cus it doesnt really look like overfeeding to me atmo.

Hi if it’s big getting worse the LITFA

Do you have a fan circulating air over the canopy ? If no then it would be a good idea

Staying tuned! For science. Silly leaf tips grumble just be happy little dude.

I’m facing a few similar questions. Is this that or is it this. Many variables. Good luck — hope it turns around well for ya!

Yes… 2 oscillating fans

It’s not getting worse, and the newer growth doesn’t seem to be affected.
