Buzzmobile’s slow intro

Could catch us in central Ga with that tracking. Batten down the hatches, fill the generator tanks!!
We haven’t had a storm do anything up here since 2016 Michael. What a fitting name😉.
Basement looks good. As always

Michael was 2018 and we had no electricity for a week afterward. Shutters are going up on Wed.

Ah. Well Michael got us too. I thought it was 16, But you would know better than I would. I’m not saying your memory is better than mine, but your memory is…. What?? Ah hell i forgot.

I have a very good memory, but it is short.

The Purple Hindu Kush seedling was also very short yesterday afternoon. The little fem was just breaking the surface when I closed the rooms.

The track for Helene is not looking good. Shutters are going up tomorrow.

I love this and may borrow it on occasion. Mine is extremely unhelpful at times, and this would be a good way to reframe it.

A short memory can work wonders for a long term marriage.
 You are welcome to that little ditty because I heard it first from my Daddy.

Helene came and went. We were spared any serious damage but we had 9.1" of rain in the gauge from Wed afternoon through Friday morning. When the power went out so did the sump pump. I set up the generator as soon as it quit raining, but it was still gusty before dawn.

I had a waterfall cascading from the back corner of the flower room. Water was nearly 16" deep when I waded an extension cord to plug the sump pump. Several minutes passed as the pump made a small geyser at the pump outfall.

The rooms are a mess, but I am not doing a thing with them except to reset the timers.

Lights and wi-fi are back on and I am tired.

Oh damn, I’m so sorry! I’m glad stuff is back on, but that is just the start.

I hope recovery goes swiftly and that as many plants as possible survive the ordeal!

I hope you’re fine, without permanent consequences. She was angry.

You’ll have to work to recover and clean up, unfortunately I’m too far away to offer help, I send my prayers and good thoughts that everything works out. Best regards.

I think the girls will pull through @C_in_CT . I won’t have to water any time soon. I will be down there tomorrow to start cleanup on the veg side. That’s the worse of the two. Most of the work will be moving things back and forth to put the foam tiles back in place

Those are some wonderful thoughts you are sending my way, @Marz. I am tired today but I have spent a good number of hours resting. No permanent damage visible amidst the clutter. The next time you are in the neighborhood stop by and we can discuss the benefits of kind people.offering help to others.

Before and after pictures begin tomorrow.

Thank you,

Cleanup in the Veg Room! Bring a shovel, bucket, hardhat and a good attitude.

Started with clutter and jetsam removal with some plant herding.

More plant herding to find the corners.

Gathered foam tiles for cleaning

Foam tile jigsaw puzzle floor installed

Glamor shot. . . but something went wrong.

Hurricanes suck. Tomorrow there is a flower room that requires my attention. It is not as big a mess as those low class veggies. LOL

I’m glad you’re getting things set to rights! And I appreciate your modification of the flooring.

I had a stress level spike a few hours after the cleanup. I took a look to check things. I saw water on the floor of the flower room!!!

“it could be regarded as a bit of a novelty single—eek!”

I waded through the shallows this time, and found the float for the switch was stuck in the down position. Just a tap on the shaft and it was sucking again. All good here this morning, and the lights should fire up around 6A.

I cannot spell good in the flower room, but I will clean it up anyway.

The rooms are straightened and the pump is cycling the groundwater seepage up and out towards the cypress tree at the back of the shed. Take a look at the group shot of flowers from Sunday Sep 29th below.

On the right is a casualty from the flood. Sunshine Daydream could not breathe underwater. The ladies gathered to pay their respects.

We called in a Doctor to verify.

I spent some time up potting from 2" to 4". I also stuck an assortment of a dozen cuttings to root.

A final look at the veg room shows the Amnesia Bubba auto has finished its stretch. Buds are in the making.

It took a while to get things back into a routine. I have transplanted and stuck clones to open up some room on the veg table where seedlings are born and cuttings make roots.

I chased white flies with Dawn and olive oil mix the other day. The tall flowering plant is an auto several weeks into flower.

I sent a number of overgrown seedlings into the flower room for a 72 hr. span to see if they will show sex. Most of those plants are Soulmates and most of them look suspiciously tall.

I swept and cleaned and got on my hands and knees with a whisk broom to sweep out under a table of stuff in the flower room.

Everything is looking good! I’m glad you’ve been able to get reset since the flooding and that so many of the plants survived!

Thanks for saying so, @C_in_CT . The weather has helped with the reset. Clear bluebird skies, low humidity and temps range in mid-50s - 80F make the rooms very comfortable to work.

I have a Sunshine Daydream to cut and hang this morning. There is a Rosetta 78 that will take its place in the rotation.

I moved the group of seedlings from their 72 hour visit in the flower room back to the veg room. There are three confirmed Soulmate males which are all upstairs near a sunny window. I intend to collect their pollen.

I was not able to get a clear picture of the third little boy.

Let’s make that four little boys after this morning’s inspection. There are still some tall plants left to identify. 4 XYs so far out of 9 seedlings.
