Hey, fellow weed nerds. Thanks for checking out my grow.
As a busy dad with limited time and money, I like to keep things cheap and easy, while still supplying top shelf herb for my wife and myself.
I generally grow DTW in 70/30 coco perlite with Jack’s 3-2-1 system and RO water (auto watering system with a total of 7 waterings a day) with Silica (Armor Si or Silica Blast), Diamond Nectar and a bit of powdered yucca as wetting agent. I run at ~1.5 EC (~725 ppm), which, after looking around at some of the other grows here, I could stand to bump up. But I get great results and good weight, so who knows. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it? With the above mix, my pH is around 6.1 consistently.
I almost always mainline or manifold my plants in some way.
I grow under a mix of MarsHydro TS1000 and ViparSpectra XS1500 across my three tents. I have 1 - 2x4’ clone/seedling/veg tent with a singleTS1000, 1 - 3x3’ flower tent with 3 fixtures, and 1 - 4x4’ flower tent with 4 fixtures. Why all the small lights? I couldn’t afford much starting off, so I just slowly added lights as I could.
Currently in the 4x4 is a White OG (Seedsman) keeper that I call Kimdracula (54f)…

…and two Cream Caramels (Sweet Seeds). The one on the right got stunted when I topped a bit too heavily, and a little too late. The one on the left is her clone, that I ended up leaving in a 1 gal.
The tent floor needs a solid scrubbing after this round. I had an overflow issue when my waste pump failed recently.
In my 3x3’ is another clone of the Kimdracula, about 30 days behind the above tent.
And in the veg tent is a monster of a Mohan Ram (Sweet Seeds) that is ready for flipping as soon as the 4x4 opens up. She’s the first plant I’ve ever up-potted to 5 gallons. This was purely due to poor timing on my part. I had no intentions of vegging so long.
as well as her clone (closest in the pic) and a clone of the Kimdracula behind her.
I have two grow goals (groals?) for 2024. They are (1) to start learning more about, and dabbling in crossing plants, or pollen chucking, to use the parliance of our time for my own personal fun and education. And (2)to get a proper perpetual grow started. I’ve read BOG’s guide and plan to implement something based around that schedule and see how that works.
I think that about covers it. I’ll try to keep this updated as often as possible, which may not be very often. But I’m thrilled to be a part of this community. Thanks so far for all of the warm welcomes!
