Cannabis Current Events (Part 1)

There is also some evidence that citric acid speeds up the metabolization and breakdown of thc within the body.

So if someone is really freaking out from an edible, tell them to go suck a lemon.
It’s efficacious, and it’s funny.

I agree with that. This isn’t legalization, this is regulation. Regulation is barely an improvement over prohibition.

Decriminalization is more important than any “legalization” efforts that have been made so far.

The only system I have seen that was legal, honest, and actually worked for patients was the prop 215 california collective system and the prop 420 dispensaries.

Any medical patient could legally grow and legally sell to dispensaries. Plant limits were very generous in most cities and towns, and if you joined a collective, your plant count would be added to the legal plant count of the collective’s grow. You could grow your own, while your plant count was also being grown by multiple collectives. It was really amazing.

Greedy recreational users killed the medical system when they voted for statewide recreational legalization. It was part of the bill.

It still baffles my mind people, especially on here, that people are going ape shit crazy because it’s “legal”. Well, no it’s not, not even close.
If you are for anything besides simply taking it off the books, and treating it like a damn plant,…well, where have you been all your life?? Look around at anything they do, it’s always just a money grab. Oh, you paid someone else 5 million dollars so your weed is good to go. Did not pay the right person? You go to jail, get fined, irs comes for you, etc. How the fuck is anyone for this shit?
And some say it’s a move in the right direction…really now?? Have you not looked back on history??? Should I start listing government fuck ups, that started “in the right direction”…just wow.

IMO you’re giving LEO and DA way too much credibility. I have no doubt this is a local vendetta borne out against the owners of this farm. They knew exactly what they were doing.

For example I knew a couple in this state that were cannabis reform activists, as often happens the local police department hated them for advocating & protesting around town. After following them around and constantly pulling them over failed to do the trick, they made up non-existent confidential informants who said they bought weed and saw a huge grow op in the peoples’ house.

A SWAT team raid ensued. Nobody was home but the couple’s 14-year son and his girlfriend. They forced the 14-year olds out of bed naked and made them stand there while they search the house. When the girl tried to grab clothes they pointed their gun at the dog’s head and said they’d shoot. They found a quarter-ounce of weed, no cash and no grow.

Everything got dismissed because my friend was in the hospital recovering from surgery when the CI’s said they bought weed (the CI’s were imaginary). My friend sued in federal court but I don’t believe they got anything. This is all in wonderful, liberal Massachusetts btw

That’s an interesting story. A police officer fighting for his job against a biased, stupid, and unfair legal system?! How’s it feel now, copper?

I have no love for police, but in this case I’m glad the courts sided with the officer, got him his job back, and slapped the department.
