Bleh. Maybe I’ll just pass on that next vape cart…
Jah gave us the green herb, not these $1 vaporizers, I stay the hell away from them! stick w/ dry herb vapes from a good company.
more info on the Maine police bust - see the BDN rush to exploit the case of the corrupt cops to attack the thousands of small-business caregivers that obey the laws. Maine is a funny state - every single major media outlet has opposed medMJ and legalization for 20+ years and the oligarchy that owns them hasn’t budged an inch - Portland Press Herald and Bangor Daily News still totally hostile to cannabis - while the newspapers like the Boston Globe and NY Times have changed from Prohibitionist to pro-legalization:
They make carts with ceramic instead of metal in them. Might be time to make the switch…
The results are actually quite clear, but Pew apparently sees no tangible benefit in a massive reduction in criminal arrests and convictions…
Drug arrests and convictions have plummeted in Oregon since February.
classic “straw man”!!! Nobody ever said repealing cannabis prohibition would eliminate drunk driving, that’s crazy. This propagandist is going to tie himself in knots with this contorted logic…here is a fantastic example of why “Public Health” folks should never be able force medications into your body - no man should be able to do that to another man, period, IMO
“One of the lines of argument (for legalization) was, once everyone starts smoking cannabis, there will be less drinking and that will be good for road traffic safety — the idea of a substitution effect,” said Dr. Timothy Naimi, an adjunct professor at Boston University Schools of Medicine and Public Health, director of the Canadian Institute of Substance Use Research in Victoria, Canada, and senior author on the study.
Naimi said that what the study does show is that people involved in fatal crashes who use cannabis are very likely to also use alcohol. Naimi speculates that if it wasn’t for increased cannabis use, there may have actually been a decrease in the number of fatal crashes involving alcohol.
good news in Colorado, voters defeated a proposal to increase the tax rate…a few towns voted against having retail - so what
What? They’re bad for me? Hahahahaha! I’ll take 3 please.

See the guy in the middle, holding up a package? Oh thats just a super compacted brick of weed we found on a beach cleanup (the FIRST cleanup I organized!)… Sadly its packaging was torn on the ironbound shoreline and it was soaked with saltwater…
WTF was all that crap about
How can you blame cannabis for alcohol related driving accidents. That’s just absurd, using the venacular of the US gun association, ( its too early in the morning to remember what they are called lol) alcohol and weed do not kill people, people kill themselves and other people with their actions.
You could argue that not enough armed robbers smoke weed, to bring down the numbers of bank robberies with that kind of logic
I’m amused by the fuss over using “indica” and “sativa” categorization. It’s like these professional establishment scientists are telling the people who have been using & breeding cannabis for thousands of years “you’re doing it wrong”.
We never said indica and sativa were genetically distinct species. It’s just a way to describe cannabis. And it’s simple. Strains with wider and darker-colored leaves tend to have heavier body effects. We describe this as indica. Strains with narrow leaves tend to have more energetic high and fruity flavors. The buds are less dense and different structure. Sativa.
These guys predict that soon we’ll identify plants by terpene characteristics instead of saying indica and sativa and using strain names. I predict we’ll keep using the same nomenclature we’ve used for the last 50 years!
A bar owner’s problem was a bar tender bringing in his or her own bottle to pour from. Just so, it’s relatively easy for a bud tender or the store owner, to bring in their own "product’ and avoid all the regs and taxes governments impose on their “golden geese.” Here in California or at least North California, the government did a sneak attack, tested samples of “product” from various stores and found everything from mis-labeling to toxins. Shops had to dispose ALL product and restock which is one reason more and more people are learning to grow their own.
Definitely a case of overthinking something so basic and fundamental.
🥸
can’t wait to see the marketing pitch - instead of “hey, would you like to buy some organic Northern Lights?” it’s going to be “how about a quarter ounce of Limonene/pinene/Linalool/Guaiol buds?”
paging Dr. Schwag!!!
Analysis: ‘Government-Grade’ Marijuana More Closely Resembles Hemp, Has Little in Common with Commercially Available Cannabis
“Our results clearly demonstrate that NIDA cannabis samples are substantially genetically different from most commercially available drug-type strains and share a genetic affinity with hemp samples in several of the analyses.
