very corrupt state - one big real estate scam since the 1920’s. Soon to be under water.
in the US it’s very important that MJ referendums immediately grant home-growing rights that start the day after the election. Laws that don’t have this aren’t legalization, they’re just feel-good gestures basically.
We have a company here called “4Front” that takes Wall Street money and goes into states that are passing medical referendums to lobby for very restrictive rules and monopolies. Afterwards they go in and make the necessary payoffs to get their clients awarded the licenses. They’re going to make a killing by having dispensary licenses in big states like Pennsylvania where only a handful of dispensaries and growers are allowed
Maine and Mass. governments both refused to implement the laws we passed until they had doubled the tax rate and re-wrote it to screw us 100 other ways.
Other than the terrible use of puns, I only have one critique of this article.
How does he determine the sickness? It sounds like his claim of 80% accuracy is complete bullshit, and he’s selling it on the idea that one day it will work
I wouldn’t hold my breath @gordongecko , if anything i reckon medicinal in UK will be extremely controlled and with no plans to extend it too wide …
Whereas i reckon it’ll take some 5 ish yrs before you can go to your Dr for medicinal herb , but only if you “qualify” and maybe ten years til recreational but we’ll NOT be able to grow our own and it’ll be big business who we’ll have to buy from. ( imo) also still no plans to downgrade mj from class B to class C as yet…! Fkn Democracy my arse we can only vote on what the government wants us to vote on.
I will continue to ignore said laws and grow my own anyway…
Happy smoking/growing,

wow, the situation with dispensaries and “legal” weed is so much worse than I ever imagined! I’ve insisted on 100% organic in my home grow since 1999. It looks like that type of herb is still not available legally to medical patients here, since the DPH outlawed small-scale artisanal caregivers.
I guess when only $5 million+ corporate operations are allowed you get the American corporate attitude of greed and fuck your customers - even if they’re cancer patients. Don’t think state regulators are going to help and protect you - they’re the ones who created this situation. The corporate investors behind these ops are soulless, ruthless people!
I always use the canoe-escape plan! looks like a lot of effort is wasted in that guy’s field - his cover crop didn’t grow high enough!
this is disturbing - state regulators basically saying only wealthy investors are allowed in the cannabis business
“The reality is, you need money to be part of this industry,” Flanagan said at the meeting. “And while not everyone is going to own the businesses that we’re going to license in Massachusetts, people have an opportunity to work in the businesses that we’re going to license. And while that doesn’t make everyone happy . . . we cannot be everything to everyone all the time.”
good laugh for today - pathetic attempt by the Boston Herald to understand gardening…some of the quotes on seeds are interesting though - tacit acknowledgement that LEO does not chase the seed trade. (I think seeds having no THC is part of it, it doesn’t meet the definition of MJ under state law)
