THC percentages are a red herring used by prohibitionists to keep cannabis illegal. They’re grasping at straws and everyone knows it, but it can (and does) stall the entire legalization process.

I think testing can be done without breaking the bank. Also “tagging” each plant, paying a fee for every square foot, plus the insane price for license and then comes a tax. If farmers growing tomatoes were under all this B.S. they’d be up in arms. The politicians use the fact that it’s a crop that still carries a social stigma to squeeze every last cent out of other’s hard work.

I’m not commercial so it doesn’t really matter to me but I take your point. But yeah, dirty greasy fingers.
From my perspective it makes me sick to pay taxes on weed that funds the cops who used to chase me for smoking weed.

Seems like every time the man gets involved, it’s always a cluster fuck. They don’t see what we are doing on a whole at all as well, with their narrow minded thinking 
about how to only take the fun out of everything in life and turn it into a circus 
for their own political gains so they can tax something else and waste are hard earned money.

You’re right, but a lot of what we need to realize is that the big industry players also lobby for things to be this way on purpose. Barries to entry and all(scare crows for some, either real or imagined depending on your perspective), make for a nice well-defended moat where they can count their riches as they secure market share. Seems to happen in many industries.

Why you ask?
We have investigated ourselves and found ourselves not guilty of any wrongdoing.
These politicians and their capital cronyism really make me sick.
I wonder how many ex-politicians are currently making money from cannabis? 
The same fuckers that put you in jail for weed are now selling it to you…
I wonder what would happen if an independent agency were to investigate all politicians?
How many do you think are totally clean, do you think there is even just 1 totally honest person left in politics?
I suspect there is not.

Exactly. The black market isn’t going anywhere. It’ll always be there, but it will take about a generation before it even begins to shrink. Every year cannabis remains illegal, the greater the inexorable backlash.

She may have got a tiny buzz and freaked thinking she’s a hippy! HA! Or she’s on the way to becoming a drug addict. Panic city. Maybe put a fan out on the balcony to disperse the smoke away from the old crank. We had a big deal with people growing legal pot on county property next to the self-righteous, right wing, prig town of Fortuna. People were saying the same sort of things just from the pot being grown and complained to the cops and created a bigger stink than any field of pot ever could.

I can’t help but find it a little entertaining… even halfway across the world, people still know to blame Canada for their smoke troubles.

Kinda sad that every attempt to legalize it in any fashion turns into a free-for-all cash grab like this, though. Just giving more ammo to the prohibitionists who want to ruin it entirely for everyone, whether as a business or not.

It’s true. All of the wildfires are caused by kids irresponsibly dropping lit joints they were sold by sloppy business owners.
