God don’t give those bastards any ideas, they just may listen to you.
We need a law to prevent Foreigner from making up ridiculous lies regarding the law!
Back to the original article - I live in an apt and “smell” comes up from time to time. I doubt it would fly legally but my position is if I have to tolerate the smell of you cooking fish then you have to put up with the smell of me smoking weed.
We’re living in a society here people!
Let’s make it legal to sell weed so we can tax it. We will then make illegal to smoke it anywhere (Colorado and Vegas) but a sealed closet with a massive air filtration systems so the kids in the next state over can’t know someone is getting healthy. Screw legalization if it’s gonna make you feel like a third class citizen for enjoying it. Where do consumers enjoy partaking. At concerts, in parks, in back yard with friends while enjoying an adult beverage or watching sports live and on tv.
And as far as cannabis being a gateway drug, it was the lack of cannabis being available that led me to other substances to adjust my attitude (I’m speaking of PCP). I will admit I probably would have dabbled in the other stuff I did (mainly psychedelics) even when cannabis was available.
I just want to hang out, go fishing, party and chill without having to worry some LEO with a hard on for stoners enjoying the fact they ruining my day.
The constitution states “the right to persue happiness “ not persue happiness under government supervision.
I JUST WANT BE FREE.
I agree, it is all about the money nothing more.
This is why I spoke out against legalization when it first was proposed.
It is not about what the people want at all.
Big money speaks and big money gets…citizens be dammed.
The answer is exactly the same as it was in the beginning…
Repeal the unjust laws based 100% on lies.
Anything less is criminal and should not be accepted.
But the people do.
At least they can buy shitty weed at the store without being arrested.
Legalization could be soo much better if it was not about the bundles of cash.
I guess this is just a fleeting dream of mine.
Greed is great for ruining dreams.
I’m with you on this. But I do think, in time, this will even out at least somewhat when legalization isn’t a big deal anymore. The big guys are pouring dollars into mechanization hoping to go national and make a killing. Our little town has three operators, in big warehouses and high tech green houses cranking out 3 and 4 crops annually. My hope is, by the time pot becomes legal nationally (if ever) people will learn to grow their own or will know someone who does and not be buying the warehouse grown stuff.
It’s issues like this that make feel blessed I live in Mass. Most are somewhat enlightened and have no problem with you growing or smoking as long as it’s not in public and even then people are pretty laid back. The drawback is that the state taxes the bejesus out of it and is driving those who can to grow at home. For me that is an ideal outcome.
Generally what I am looking for is not in the dispensaries
I get to choose what I want to grow/smoke and over a year the grow equipment has paid for itself
It’s unfortunate because everyone wants LOUDER weed & it’s probably the number one reason the puritans/squares hate it.
When they do those polls & 35% of people say keep it illegal. I bet 30% of those people just hate the overwhelming skunk smell.
What if they make selling what you grow a 5-10 year felony?
I am pretty sure they are well on their way to this right now.
And what about if they outlaw home grows.
They are certainly trying this in my state every year.
The big grow ops pay employees to go to lansing and protest caregivers and home growers.
They want all of the market share.
You see when it is all about the money they will never stop unilt they have it all.
This is just the nature of greed.
I truly feel these greedy bastard will not stop until they have it all.
Why would they?
What will stop them?
Will they succeed?
I feel that they will, money rules this world and so goes legaization.
I hate liking your post @shag, ones like it. I don’t believe wanting to be left alone, not bothering anyone who hasn’t come too close, in my own yard, should be a problem.
Oh…good morning friend. Hope good things are cookin’ for ya.
I wonder do these kinda folks consider voting for the right thing or is their vote based on their opinion/feelings only?
For example I really hate cigarette smoke it bugs me even outside, but I think making it illegal to smoke in public is wrong.
I believe in freedom even if it annoys me from time to time.
I hear ya, to think they wanna come into our yards and tell us we cant grow a plant because another man needs to make his money.
It is not about anything else at this point.
We know it has medicinal benefits.
And it is just a plant.
I know it is intoxicating…LOL
I can go outside right now and pick morning glories off the fence and trip the fuck out.
But they could care less about that.
Why are they so concerned about cannabis if a morning glory can send you to space?
Could it be the market value of cannabis?
Let the commercial guys do what they want, you can’t stop that shit anyhow.
But leave me and @crownpoodle alone in our yard with our plants of choice.
@crownpoodle
Good morning to you my friend, hope your day is going well, maybe you even got some sleep.
So far so good over here.
Don’t get me started. I served this country, fighting in Iraq. Not just deploying, but actually fighting. Now, growing my own medicine makes me a criminal. Not just any criminal, but one evidently on par with Pablo fucking Escobar. Meanwhile, the poisons the VA tried to give me did more harm than good, and everyone knows it.
This sounds like Canada…… it’s legal sure, everyone can grow 4 plants, great, if your inside the cities you can’t grow those 4 plants outside, has to be securely grown indoor. You’re not technically allowed to smoke anywhere other than your home. Each province is different, Nova Scotia you can only buy weed from the Nova Scotia Liquor Commission along with the seeds. You can’t buy anymore than an oz at a time. Don’t get me wrong I would never buy anything from them anyways.
If you grow more then your 4 plants or go above your prescribed plant count you can get fines and right up to 10 years in prison. That’s more time than what was given for growing when it was illegal!
Weed will never truly be legal, the “legalization” is only meant to give the federal government as much control over it as possible, allowing them to profit on their commercial garbage and still be able to punish everyone else for doing the same thing.
If I didn’t have kids I’d be in front of the nslc handing my shit out for free if everyone boycotted them.
I don’t usually have much to say but the way this was handled in Canada is very sad.
Ps sorry for the rant lol
Of course! The irritation of the few outweigh the needs of the many. That makes total sense.
Here in Ontario you can smoke weed anyplace you are allowed to smoke cigarettes with a couple exceptions like schools and such.
Wow that’s not as bad. Here they even have designated smoking for cigarettes with a fine system in place. I haven’t heard of anyone getting fined but I remember it on the news when it was first put into place.
