Kinda weird that neither that piece nor another one linked to in it actually talk about what a micro-license holder can do with it… e.g. what’s the canopy limit for cultivators under that license type? They also mention a refundable $1500 application fee but don’t say anything about the licensing fees for a micro-license holder.

ETA: I Googled, a micro license “wholesaler” (cultivation falls under this license type) can have up to 250 plants in flower. They don’t mention licensing fees… I wonder if the $1500 is the licensing fee, or if that’s more.

.I love the robbery, they left the cannabis/products and only stole the cameras that was wanted by investigators.

Huh… that’s a weird case (I spent a little while reading through Delta’s two motions, only the motion for a TRO was substantive)… across the board. Weird that the security equipment disappeared, sure (I know people can be dumb, but isn’t it a little overly obvious to take only the security equipment?), and weird that the industry trade group was sniffing around about the state’s capabilities then lo and behold, a whistleblower emerges.

If Delta is correct, also weird because the specific regulation barring the import of plant material produced outside of MO only came into effect on the last day of July (so any violation of that rule could only have occurred for a few days before the state was notified, it wasn’t something that went on for months). They also claim to have stopped processing plant material from outside MO as of the end of July… maybe someone tried to use that extraction product after the 30th? Odd.

From the beginning of Medical all products had to be from seed grown here in MO. That was told to us when Medical was on the Ballot.

Obviously Delta (and maybe others) was buying federally-legal hemp to extract, or extracted hemp cannabinoids, from out of state. I presume medical involved 0.3%+ cannabis.

Same article says weed smoke doesn’t give lung cancer. Sounds safer to me.

It’s weird how easily Karen initiatives can screw everything up.

Usually it’s the big growers pushing laws to screw over their consumers and force them to buy from them, so I think it’s somewhat refreshing to see. Oh no, a limit of 10k square feet! Maybe that’s not an industrial mega-farm, but it’s certainly not a small personal grow either.

I’m thinking about states where recreational cannabis became legal via initiative, and how easily that could get reversed by a Karen initiative.Think of the possibility of Karens bonding together to make home growing illegal in recreational states. That’s scary

Sorta like everything the government touches? Home grow is severely constricted, can anybody tell me what sort of limits exist on growing hops? Last I checked, there are none. Things are already screwed up.

Most states are trapped in corrupt, rent-seeking situations that creates barriers to entry for growers attempting to provide medicine on the market. Only Maine and Oklahoma seem to be exceptions.

You can grow as much hops as you want, but you are limited to home brewing 100 gallons of beer per adult per year with a maximum of 200 gallons per household.

It’s the inebriation the government wants to control. The government does not like people altering their minds. It’s too easy for the government to lose control of people when the people expand their minds and thinking.

I definitely support that zero mold tolerance law.

When I was really sick and couldn’t afford the $500 a year for a med card here in oregon, and only got one harvest a year growing outdoor, I had to use recreational bud from dispensaries.

I am immunocompromised, and it sucks to spend your weekly meds budget on something only to find out that it’s full of mold when you break open a large bud. Couldn’t use the product, and it was very rare for dispensaries to give me a refund or exchange.

Lots of dirty bud for sale here, and even harder to avoid sloppily remediated batches. They kill the mold by irradiating but that doesn’t physically remove it, it’s still on the buds and it will still really fuck you up if you are sensitive to it.

Let the shitty mass scale cultivators go out of business. the rest can scale down their production until they can actually manage and maintain a healthy crop for a clean harvest that passes lab tests.
