Cannabis Current Events (Part 2)

I have long thought the exact same thing, however I have rapidly declining confidence in the Feds ability to do virtually anything right. :rage:

It was improperly scheduled in the first place by the government without any objective scientific information to support the decision. Which is obvious as it is now the new wonder ā€œdrugā€ (I donā€™t view it as a drug but I do consider it medicine)

Aspirin was derived from willow bark.

Onions help reduce inflammation.

The list goes on regarding natural medicines (including cannabis) that man kind depended on long before big pharma came to town.

What needs to be scheduled and regulated out to compounds derived from nature that scientists donā€™t have a complete understanding regarding the parts of the plant left behind how they contribute to a patient health (some call this the ā€œentourageā€ effect. Marinol is an example of Drā€™s attempt to replicate cannabis effect with respect to chemo patients. It was a failure.

The government needs to reboot and govern from a basis of truth not turn every little issue into a political battle of might vs right. ( We have the power so the truth is what we say it is). Ya I know I want to live a land of ā€œunicorns and fluffy bunniesā€ itā€™s why itā€™s best that I self
medicate.

By the way government does not believe the ā€œgoverned cannot handle the truthā€. Truth is the governing cannot handle the truth as it interferes with the crap they try to shove down our throats.

On one hand they say UFOs donā€™t exist but they searching the skies for radio signals and sending gold records on satellites informing others of our existence and inviting them to stop by.

My rant for day

In 1776 we called a revolution in 1860 we called it civil war , 1960 we called counterculture upheaval. Not sure what we call this time around. Every 80 to hundred years we tend to show our collective asses

Will this work or will it be business as usual in Missouri by donating money to more hands?

They lied to everyone and the laws put in place based on those lies needs to be seen as unjust laws based on B.S.

Just roll things back before the lies and unjust laws were made.
It really is a simple fix.

One problem though, the govt. will never admit they lied or the laws are unjust.
But we all know the truth, maybe we should speak up about this whole thing in a public debate.

This article reminds me of a quote I read in a book back in early days of reasearch (screw experimenting), ā€œwhen you donā€™t smoke it seems like nobody does, when you do it seems like there is nobody who doesnā€™tā€. Sorry donā€™t remember book or author (been a lot of research over the years.

I feel they kinda misspoke, they should have said ā€œMarijuana should never have been classified in the same category as drugs like heroin and LSD.ā€

Why was it classified in the same category as drugs like heroin and LSD in the first place?

Oh yea, they simply lied to us all to fit the agenda they had at the timeā€¦WTF??

This goes back to post-1968 and the start of the war on drugs. The president at the time disliked the ā€œhippiesā€ who were opposed to the War in Vietnam and felt that cannabis was the prime contributor to anti-war sentiment, thus it was scheduled the same as other Schedule 1 drugs. He then recruited the likes of Elvis Presley into support for his war on drugs, which is really ironic because Presley was a major abuser of prescription drugs, eventually causing his own death because of them.

This could be really bad if that means what I think it means, I could be wrong but if I am right all medical cannabis will be prescription only and from the pharmacy.

I warned of this in 2013 but folks said it could not and would not ever happenā€¦we shall see.
I even posted little blister packs of weed for a measured dose.
Not the one I posted originally but here is an example.

Why are they doing this after all these years?
Because it is the right thing for the people?
I think notā€¦LOL

ā€œsaving cannabis companies untold millions in coming years.ā€

Rescheduling cannabis is not the same as descheduling or legalizing it.
Descheduling cannabis would mean removing it from the CSA entirely, which would allow states to regulate it as they see fit, similar to alcohol or tobacco. Legalizing cannabis would mean enacting federal laws that explicitly allow and regulate its production, distribution, and consumption for medical or recreational purposes.

Both options would require congressional action, which is unlikely to happen in the near future.

It could also create more challenges and conflicts for the cannabis industry, as they would have to comply with more regulations and standards from federal agencies, such as the FDA, the IRS, and the DEA.

HHS made their recommendation for it to be moved to Schedule 3, and it would be just plain stupid of the DEA to go against that. There is actually a bill in Congress to move it to Schedule 3. While Schedule 3 is far from ideal, itā€™s a major step in the right direction. At least doctors will be able to prescribe its derivatives (if not whole flower), and a lot of jurisdictions will de-prioritize it.
Big changes are coming.
