Recreational cannabis is legal in Rhode Island today! 
I haven’t read the details yet. I’m sure there will be some disappointments in there. But it’s a start!
I haven’t been able to find the details either, granted I haven’t looked too hard haha.
I have seen, broadly, no more fees for med patients, including tags, and they are allowing home grows! Curious if they’ll allow outdoor grows, but I kind of doubt it.
I will still keep my med patient status 
Yeah! That’s cool. I hope med patients can grow without buying the tags. (Not that I’ve ever bought the tags since I’ve gotten my med card…

as far as i am concerned it was i grew up there and still have realatives there kittery used to be a nice place 40 years ago but since the boston/newyork libs started moving in 50 years ago the town has gone to shit as well as the surrounding areas eliot your etc etc there si an old saying maine seceded from massachusetts in 1824 or so and mass has been trying to get it back one house lot at a time sorry for the rant had to edit got the year wrong

That’s simply quite a silly and incorrect assertion. Cannabis is one of the easiest plants that I have ever grown.
And of course, overgrowing is the best way to alleviate any concern over prices.

I mean, it is High Times, it’s bound to involve some halfbaked stupid statements.
That said they do have a point when it comes to hypothetical people longing for dirty cheap weed, the race to the bottom on prices in some markets isn’t likely to do good things long-term. Presumably we will see US national legalization eventually and then big multinational companies will no doubt step in and flood the market and try to stamp out local competition. Building a solid market for higher quality flower at a moderate price point might help maintain a vibrant market? Kinda shooting in the dark on that last part.
Anyway, I can’t say I actually buy from dispos (often), but I think there’s a pretty wide market of people who want to purchase cannabis at a store, not grow and harvest and trim and dry and cure it themselves.
Truth is they are about 20 years behind unfortunately
Once places with a warm climate start to do it right it’s going to be a huge industry. Sitting on a beach or by the pool in Thailand, Mexico or Costa Rica puffin on some high grade tree whilst sipping on a margarita will be a game changer
