Northern calif growers are letting there crops rot rather then pay taxes on 300 lb weed sad to see the rich getting richer an the growers getting poorer
Of all places, Oklahoma has become the pot hot spot because they don’t let their religions get in the way of profits. A lesson for California, Oregon and Washington. -0https://www.nytimes.com/2021/12/29/us/oklahoma-marijuana-boom.html

A Swiss Startup Is Pumping Out Legal Hashish
It looks, tastes and feels like the illegal stuff. KannaSwiss is pumping out bricks of legal hash and pot products that are potent but legal in a growing number of countries.

This hits for me, our governor here in VT dragged his feet on signing our legalization bill, and ultimately allowed it to go through without his signature because of the lack of accurate roadside testing for impairment, if this shit passes in MA you can believe Phil Scott will be hot on their heels to implement the same junk science nonesense here in VT.
It’s not gonna pass in Massachusetts, no worries. This whole issue was actually settled years ago, all the recent state “legalization” laws do NOT include a “per se” law for DUI like Colorado and Washington have. The NHTSA and many other studies have proven metabolite-level testing does not indicate DUI.
I’ve heard from NORML lawyers that many med patients were busted for DUI in Washington under their “per se” law, which was unfortunately included by the WA-ACLU and Drug Policy Alliance (DPA) in their referendum. MPP included it in the Colorado referendum as well. Fortunately the entire movement stopped including the language years ago and state legislatures have resisted calls from idiot propaganda companies like John Henry’s Globe.
I thought about it some more - Henry is actually the owner of the single largest alcohol-serving establishment in the city of Boston, with 40,000+ occupancy…I’m sure cutting off beer in the 7nth inning will really help sober up those people from New Hampshire that just spent 8 hours drinking!
“They said it would be cheaper, but it’s not,” said Corbet King…
The cost for one-eighth of an ounce of the flower product sold by the state’s nine, regional monopoly pharmacies ranged from $35 in Lake Charles to $60 in West Monroe to $80 in New Orleans, according to various reports.
When there are more patients and more products prices are going to be more affordable," Morrison said.
It’s a what came first, the chicken or the egg situation, you won’t get more patients until the prices drop, until then products will still be limited as companies can’t see what is already out there selling.
its hard to know whats really up in the state here. at the same time that this info is coming out there are other grassroots policy groups that are playing watchdog to the proceedings of the CCB and are shouting about a lot of the same issues developing in VT that have been seen in other states. namely, large, vertically integrated cannabis conglomerates being given first crack at the market and special treatment across the board. it’ll be interesting to see how things actually shake out here. the 1,000 sq ft. license does sound intriguing though. that would be a really nice way to make a living if the numbers can work out right.
