Hey OGer’s, Curaleaf is having a huge auction of surplus equipment at various locations around the country. Kentucky, New Jersey, California, Colorado, Massachusetts.
It’s on Bidspotter.com
Lights, buckers, trimmers. Extractors, etc.
If anyone was looking for equipment on the cheap, there are some good deals to be had.
Pretty cool, mostly on a real industrial scale. Some items, however, may remain within reach of us mere mortals! HA!
Thank you for posting the link, @Kgrim. Really interesting stuff.
That’s a good one! Low bid also! Lol
But, how do you suppose that this device works?
I found a couple things I’d like to have, imma gonna be watching them every now and again. Thanks for the heads up! @Kgrim
I’m cheap. That’s why chose to highlight it, it’s cheap too. Well, it’s inexpensive. At any rate, it’s spring five bucks for a machine which I have no idea what exactly it does (yeah, I know, it analyzes and profiles) or way too many thousands on some other machine which I also have no idea what it does. This was a cost saving measure on my part.
First, you plug it in, then you twist a dial or maybe two, put your product in, and finally flip the power on switch. Seems like it’s pretty straight forward.
@mota, well I imagine it’s the same machine that’s used in testing facilities to determine THC/Terpene content, or one of the processes involved in the testing.
When I looked yesterday, 1 lot there was $28k worth of LED lights, bid was $150, and I think there are 3 lots of LED’s, 2 lots of HPS fixtures, 1 lot of ballasts, 2 lots of Hortilux & Lumitek bulbs.
The buckers that they have are $8k-$12k machines, going cheap, and the Green Bros dry trimmers are like $5k new.
Granted, a lot of the stuff is geared towards the large facility aspect, some stuff is home growers would use, can be had fairly inexpensive.
This is just one of the auctions I’ve run across, and this one is from various facilities across the US.
I run across these auctions looking for equipment for my shop, and as I run across those geared towards the cannabis industry, I’ll post them so hopefully some OG member might find something they can use for Pennies on the Dollar.
Outta likes.
That is very cool of you. I could imagine an OG using some of these or similar items given some folks grows.
@mota, thanks!!! Just like to pass on info for stuff that some might/could use. One of the last auctions I saw, whole facility went under and had to liquidate per bankruptcy orders. And things went real cheap. $1,500 LED’s for $120, brand new in box. $20k-$25k trimmers for $1,250. Rolling grow racks, $3k for $50. It’s just crazy some of things that pop up for auction and what they sell for.
Wish we were closer to California, as I could outfit an entire machine shop cheap, it’s just not advantageous or cost effective to ship machines across the country. There are 15-20 machine shops going under in Cali every month, and it’s been that way for a few years.
I totally believe that. Retailers certainly come and go, and it’s hard to miss all the publicity about how shitty conditions are here.
And on a different note, are you familiar with stereotomy? Sorry if I’ve asked before. I think it may be something you will really appreciate. My son just took an week long intro class. You can see what the class did here.
There’s another post above that’s also about stereotomy.
I saw your post about it, but haven’t looked into it. Definitely sounds interesting and something I should probably look into.
Oh man! What a time to be broke! There’s a ton of epic stuff! The led bundle alone is epic!
