They want to steal 127.0.0.1! They private messaged me and said someone else was going to take credit for the things I posted here. Really strange campaign it made no sense to me.
If anyone wants to take credit for something I made up, at least be as good/bad as me, or else people will figure it out

Thats cool, how fragile are they getting them out of the mould

you have to bee careful. the black one has a ragged edge because of it. but the detail is incredible.better half is experimenting with casts and I suggested the leaf.

Have your thought about using fiberglass resin, it would be stronger than plaster, but you would need automotive paint to colour them.

There are very strong clays you can get that don’t need firing, they get as hard as porcelain, myself and a couple of buddies were messing around a couple of years ago making plaster casts of our faces for busts. I will stick a pic up of mine.

I have not. didnt see a reason for it, tbh. the medium doesnt really interest me. the better half is a classically trained painter. she was refreshing some of her skills and looking into fresco type work. I snuck in my interests and benefited. I’ve several casts of her from when she was in school.

hydrocal next and ultracal casts after.

I like my paintings better though.

Yes those are the nes I was thinking about that don’t need firing.

yep! but Ive a paragon kiln in the garage as well. she’s done enamels and I always over spec what she asks for. learned the hard way. lol

Wow, got your own kiln, that’s definitely a big plus for this kind of artwork, you got all the bases covered :+1:

I’ve been kinda lurking/stalking the posts in here since I joined! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye::kissing_closed_eyes::wave:t2:

Lots of cool artwork to see and when I get my guts up I’ll post some of my own.

I’ve been lost in grief, when the clouds start to part perhaps I’ll peek out some, but if it creeps anyone out when I  “heart” a comment or piece I happen to appreciate, by all means let me know and I’ll stop. :stop_sign:

Just wanted to say this. Don’t want to be tooooo creepy this time of year! :jack_o_lantern::ghost::skull:

Grow happy everyone. :slightly_smiling_face:

Sorry for your loss I hope it gets easier for you soon.

I like dark art, can’t beat a good grim reaper or skull pic. When I was painting a lot of stuff I would get friends ask, why is the majority of your work so dark.

My reply was, it’s because that’s what people are requesting and paying me to paint for them lol.

Put them up don’t be shy

Heres a pic of my face moulded from a cast in Hydrocal. Needs a little work on it. I want to carve open the eyes and have to touch up my moustache and eye brows, also I want to add some more to the bottom of neck line that is still looking rough. My buddy added the hood and my family crest on the shoulder.
