If you do the treatment specifically like the protocol says, it ends the mildew so you don’t have to spray sulfur again and your cucumber plants will be mildew free in the future.

Thanks for the advice @JoeCrowe . I’ll spray the whole garden down this fall and spring. I moved a lot of soil around this season, so I was kind of expecting it. Nothing on my cannabis plants yet, thankfully.

No problem @MissinBissin ! Hope it helps some people who have a difficult time with it. I know one member already got roots for the first time, that an exciting step to take in your cannabis journey. First harvest, and first roots on a cut should get you into your cultivation yellow belt. Then you move on to grappling with lst, scrog, and topping. That gets you into green belt territory. Get your outdoor strains from clones off your indoor keepers, and making seeds I think gets you the purple.

Ready for a new week @percyryan66 . My hand is still really sore, I can’t close it yet. I wrote on some tags in the garden, that was very uncomfortable. I’m sure it will heal quick, just waiting for the antibiotics to do their thing. Hope you make some progress this week in your search!

The mildew is host specific, so the colony growing on your cucumbers can’t infest cannabis. It CAN infest the following plants:
melons, pumpkins, squash , zuchinni
Not a comprehensive list but they are all in the same family. I’m having real fun trying to find another host for cannabis mildew, so far I have:
Cannabis. lol!

Hi @Cannabiscrusader , hope the hand is healing well! Growing cucumbers too in my greenhouse, but as the weather has been so bad they are still only in flower with a few 1-2cm fruit - congrats on the pickles

Hey @Nick ! Started my Cucumbers inside around may 1st. April 15th if I feel the winter has gone on long enough. Are you allowing pollinators to get in? Like bees 'n such?

Hi @Cannabiscrusader , plenty of pollinators, just been too cold, did not get above 20C / 68F until the third week of July, so everything a bit behind, picked our first cherry tomatoes yesterday which were delicious but will be a few weeks before we get a decent crop.
Hope the hand is still getting better - take care of yourself and the family

Had to go down to the city yesterday for a presurgical appointment. Long day full of driving. My wife came along and we swung by the beach before we went home.

Swelling is going down in my hand finally, still hurts like a bitch. He got his claw through the web of my finger and into my knuckle. I can bend it now, but still can’t hold a pen.

I’ll post up some pics of my gardens later on

Glad you are healing nicely - the weather in the pic looks moody - lots of rain on the way?

It was shitty all day yesterday. But that was 4 hours away from where I live. I have to drive down to the city to see my doctors. I forget that you guys in the uk can drive for 45 minutes and be in another country, the US is a big place. The adirondack park, where I live in northern New york, is the largest state park in the country. You can fit the next 3 largest parks inside of it, one of them being yosemite. It’s over 6 million acres.

So I drove from the mountains to the ocean. I think I’m at 850ft above sea level up here in the sticks. Sunny and 72° here today, think I’ll make some one handed pickles

England is just over 5 times the size of your backyard park - lol - seems a long way to have to drive to see a doctor! I have three major hospitals within 30 minutes drive so feel blessed in that regard.
Good luck with the one handed pickles - checked my cucumbers today - vines now at about 8ft and some fruit 2" or so - hopefully will have some ready before the end of the summer
Stay well

Take care of that hand Brother. I can relate to having a hand injury take me out on something I love and that is playing guitar. Before I became an electrician, I was a cable guy and one day while trying to replace some 4 inch long flat head screws for a cold air vent, I was using my straight blade bit in my cordless Dewalt that was spinning at 500 rpm. The drill bit slipped off the screw head and went over half way through my index finger at the joint closest to the end of my finger.

I almost passed out when I ran cold water on what was a gaping hole half way through my finger. That happened in '92 and I had a couple of very small bone splinters that slowly worked there way to the top under my skin. It took almost 10 years for the small splinters to show up just beneath the skin at the last joint in my finger.

That was 32 years ago. I had nerve damage, and it was my left hand which took me out of playing guitar with my fretting hand for almost a half year. I then started playing again, but with 3 fingers on my fretting hand instead of 4. It was almost year before I could use all 4 again. The splinters are still there to this day, but I don’t even notice them anymore.

I’m hoping that your recovery is much quicker than mine was and that you’ll be cranking out masterpiece sketches as we know that is a great love in you life.

There’s 4 hospitals within 40 minutes of me, my condition just progressed beyond their capacity. So I went to where the heart transplant specialists were. Now I need to go there for everything.
