I really wish I could join in and pop all my sour bubble beans for a big pheno hunt.
I have a total of sixty one seeds collectively between the Tony Green Sour Bubble '05 to '10 Tribute packs and the Doug Dawson F2’s. I also have a pack of F2’s from an icmag member but not sure how old those are as I got them 8 years ago. 24 seeds in there.
Be a crazy pheno hunt to do in stages but would need to dedicate the year to getting that done I’d think. Next winter… Sour Bubble and DMT pheno hunts begin I’m thinking. Be nice to get some selected cuts out into the community.

I’ve done a heap of hunting through various SB seeds I’ve got over the years, including the coops by @DougDawson.
The SB to me looks pretty well inbred now, so maybe that’s been the change over time.’I don’t seem to get a whole lot of variation, even with large numbers, and it has lost a bit of vigor over the years that comes through in the low mould resistance and sometimes floppy stem, but you are definitely right about the taste it has, it seems to pretty good at passing it on to crosses, same thing with the potency. I hunted through a bunch and made a cross with some pure Michigan, I’m hoping it brings the SB through but beefs the structure a bit and brings back a bit of vigor.

@slain yeah I personally believe Sour Bubble was at its best between 2004-2011. Everything has its time.

I actually just killed my entire grow site after a failing battle with aphids.
I don’t grow inside in summer months so it;s gonna have to wait till fall but I’ll be following along.

The Sour Bubble I did were from BX3 stock so older stuff. I found a little purple pheno that was just incredible but sadly it did not reveg. I do have seeds from her though. Want to hunt through those one day.

Ahh cool. It flowers here like an auto outdoors, even when I plant them in summer, they get to about 3 feet and flower, so it’s buds for Xmas. Only photo plant that I’ve seen that does it like that here.
I also found one like this, super pretty plant hey? I made a bunch of seeds from it but also wasn’t able to reveg it as it was too far gone btt I got my act together.

Interesting, the one I had vegging longer hit 6 feet indoors. The purple pheno I found was a mutant. It did not grow past the first node. Nothing grew but the first node gave me a taste. It was quite special.

I will say, the main reason i gave up those seeds was because my memory of PK’s Sour Bubble’s was that they were quite leafy… i know, sometimes you have to look past the bad traits but i just cannot stand leafy stuff, even if there are good flowers hiding inside all the leaf… anyway- good luck.
Now, (without derailing this thread) getting back to MY wants and desires… who might be able to help me with Mephisto stuff?
I know there’s a seed trading thread, but… just throwing it out there…

@SHSC-1 Time to clean up and get back on the saddle 
. I should be making f3s with these. Not doing an open pollination but selecting specific plants. So it might take a little longer but theyll be available.

I got one male and one female, the female wasn’t anything special. I hope you have the lucky seed.
It wasn’t extreme indica leaves as i remembered from his favourite, my memory is foggy at best though, for that long ago.

So I havent used FFOF in a few years. But I have always used it for veg. I wasnt sure about the quality control these days so I added about 35% peat. Wont be doing that again. This stuffs still great. Had to hit these with some castings and tea already. But theyre filling out nicely now that I have.
One of these has been outpacing the rest by almost double the whole time. And fairly fat leaves. I look at each one of them and find something I love. Like my little kids or something lol. Excited to see what comes out.
@irrepairable-vessel yeah im looking forward to seeing every expression. Might even find something better. Definitely keeping an eye out for a massive dino leaf male.
