@Oldjoints package arrived safe and sound , tho I did drop a few on the floor . That was an adventure to find them , its definitely easier to get down than up off your knees on a tile floor
Yup, its from @Oldjoints ā¦ I had a conversation about the seed packaging with him, I love it because it recycles / repurposes old street side election / junk signs
good evening everyone!!
Hey howās it going
Whats the trick to put a tensioner pulley spring on a mower , I canāt hardly stretch the dang spring at all.
Anyone got any advice, tips or tricks lol
w/o the belt installed - correct ??

@Donnie you have vicegrips?
Belts still on the spring broke on me the other day , so I got the replacement spring today . Iām not mechanically incline by any means lol I tried to stretch that dad gum spring and it barely moved
Iām not sure vice grips will help thats an awful long stretch to the connector. I could probably attach my belt loop to the spring and it wouldnāt budge lol
i would move the belt off the pulley, install the spring, then re- install the belt
- the leverage point for the belt is much easier to move vs hitting that spring hole with belt installedā¦

I was afraid to remove the belt and not be able to get it back on
What type of mower is it?
Good evening to you!
Yeah those are smaller springs lol ans Iām not replacing the tensioner pulley just the spring. Herea the old spring.
So Iām guessing as @rootfarmer said ill probably have to remove the belt
Not according to the 3rd video link I posted for you @Donnie . What is the model of the mower?
This is a big dog 60" cut zero turn mower
Does it look like the one in this clip which is the BigDog Alpha? Looks like its a brute force job. Hook on one side and muscle the other into place. If you remove the belt first you may have a real hard time putting it back on with so much tension.
Looks exactly like that
Was hoping to avoid taking it in to the shop but looks like I may have too
