the idea that all medical patients need only cbd is an oversimplification.

Isnā€™t it all the same stuff? Just different strains with higher THC or higher CBD.

Different strains of cannabis are not all the same stuff with different ratios of cbd or thc. There is a lot more to it than that.

The point is that medical patients require something specific to their individual needs, not any random kind of cannabis. Some people need specific cannabinoids to manage a certain illness, or need them for targeted cancer treatment. And I donā€™t mean cbd or thc, I mean they could potentially require rare trace cannabinoids that cannot be found easily in modern hybrid recreational cannabis.

Others could have a serious adverse reaction from the wrong strain. If they didnā€™t know exactly what they were growing, they could end up with something that did more harm than good.

The needs of every individual patient are going to be very different. The idea that cannabis is all the same, interchangeable, or one size fits all, does not apply when it comes to the medical cannabis community.

Pharmaceutical companies have had synthetic thc and cbd for years, but there is no medicinal value. CBD and THC isolates are also of very little use for medical patients.

Medical cannabis works based on the entourage effect of many different compounds in natural balance interacting with the bodies endocannabinoid system. individual compounds in isolation would not be absorbed or metabolized efficiently. They would be psychoactive, but they would not have the same systemic effects.

This is why itā€™s always important for people to know what they are growing, what they are taking into their gardens, and what they are sending out into the gene pool.

A challenge to my friends here at OGā€¦saw a friend of mine tonightā€¦had not seen her for a whileā€¦diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer (tobacco) 2 years ago. Shocked to see her at 78 poundsā€¦her time here is probably less than 6 months, maybe less than 2. Had the honor of raising a shot with her, her fiancĆ©, her 31 year old son, and my fiancĆ©e tonight.

My challenge to my friends here at OGā€¦Call your parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, brothers, sisters and children and honestly tell them how much they mean to you. Know how short our time on this earth can beā€¦!!! Donā€™t leave them in doubt of your feelingsā€¦today is oursā€¦tomorrowā€¦who knows?
