that happened to me at a disturbed concertā€¦ the entire crowd was pushing ten feet forward then 10 feet backwardsā€¦it was a sea of human madness i couldnt watch more than 5 mins of them performing during that hourā€¦ plus it was 104 outside that dayā€¦ i was pissed!!! lol

for sure its a shame how musical integrity has transformed to a mcdonalds style push it all out quick cheap made trash like their food

Try hard to install that in my kids, live, love experience cuz time flies when you are young and having fun. Before you know it youā€™re married with kids and the responsibilities pour on. I was raised in the golden era imho yet I missed so much just not paying attention, or giving a shit. Cherish each and every moment folks

I saw Slipknot in Edmonton with Suicidal Tendencies opening for them. Was an amazing show and I got a picture with Mike Muir which was awesome because I was obsessed with S.T. when I was a little shit skater.

There are still some solid artists out there but you gotta dig. I find gems every week using https://rawkbawx.rocks/ and some youtube channels like ā€œBlack metal promotionā€.

No kidding? Waterloo made some really nice boxes, idk if they still do. Seeing a guy with box branded Waterloo instead of whatever rebrand was always a sign to me that the person was good shopper, and wanted a top shelf box without spending extra on a brand.

I recall Slipknots first show in Toronto. They were the opening act for a 5 band show so 5 min before they went on one of their roadies ran out to the line that reached around the block and on a loudspeaker yelled:

ā€œANYONE IN A JUMPSUIT HERE FOR SLIPKNOT GET THE FUCK UP HERE WE"RE JUMPING YOU THE FUCK UP IN FRONT OF THE LINE!!!ā€

A pile of guys and a few gals in jumpsuits ran past all of us stunned that this was for real. No one complained, and we all seemingly had a lot of respect for the band after this lookout for their own fans.
I did catch the latter 2/3rd of their show as I was near the front of the line and loved the madness.

I remember the warehouse one in I think 2000 that was rescheduled. I was just curious how many times they hit Toronto

Ya I wasnā€™t there thatā€™s for sure. What a great year 99ā€™ was! Thanks for sharing. Not gonna lie Iā€™m a huge hip hop head but have a wide wide variety I enjoy , always have but I was into some of this. Slipknot, suicidal tendencies, slayer, Gwar, pantera etc. FISH , absolutely love Rage! but after 2004 or so my passion for that style has dwindled very much so and I primarily listen to rap/hip hop but mostly underground old school New York hip hop. That gangster rap haha. People have always said Iā€™m weird as how can you possibly like both. Fast forward to 2000 and I met Vinnie Paz (who is now truly an idol and a friend who takes the time to email at least on my birthday every year faithfully to this day) this man is a legend in the hip hop game, to me anyway but almost strictly listen to death metal etc. We had a blast that night and the next day just talking music and him showing me stuff Iā€™d never heard of. He made me realize Iā€™m normal (wellā€¦ā€¦) but I was involved in the hip hop industry for 10+ years and thank God for the opportunity every day still as I was able to meet and become friends with so many celebrities and superstars, see them in real life, eat with them, shop with them, be spoiled by them and witness how much free stuff rich people get :man_facepalming:t2: that involvement really made me lose touch with that side of me and only recently have I started listening again here and there. Just felt I needed to clarify for those of you that know me as I know a few are like huh? I thought he was a hip hop head lol

IDK either. I quit there about 20 yrs ago.
We made boxes for Sears, Snapon, Loweā€™s, Ace Hardware. Etc. Plus the Waterloo branded ones. They were all the same except for the Sears. Those had double wall construction. But other than that, same steel, same welding, same drawer slides, same paint even.

I just finished reading The Cornbread Mafia and does anyone know what the strain was that they were growing?

Herijuana, I think? Or possibly herojuana, if thereā€™s actually a difference. Iā€™ve seen both names before.
