I am putting up this thread for @DainIronFoot he did this as a freaker run and is offering up the extra to the co-op. He isn’t able to put this up at the moment but, the seeds are on the way. His information and photos are in a pm so we can move some here.
@upstate Here is a photo of 6.5 week Oaxacan PS. Note the extensive LST. Only three female out of 8, but they are pretty. Pollen pooled from all 5 males. Every body is pollenated. I have three cuttings, one from each girl to insure we get enough seeds and I kept pollen in the freezer. One phenotype, visible here on the left is very interesting. Very lithesome and delicate. Pretty girl, no doubt very low yield but that is not why you grow oaxacan landrace.

Would Oaxacan be a Mex heirloom landrace, i wonder? I had it i’m sure back in the early, mid '70s, both that and Michoacán.
…with a rush of cerebral effects that smash into your brain with a tingly effect, filling your mind with a heady happiness that lingers for long after you toke. As your mind expands, a buzzing energy will wash over your physical form, getting you up off of the couch and moving in no time at all. With these energizing effects and its super high 19-21% average THC level, Oaxaca is often chosen to treat those suffering from conditions such as migraines or headaches, chronic stress, depression and chronic fatigue. This bud has a classic spicy citrus flavor with a super sour herbal exhale. The aroma is of earthy herbs and peppery fruits with a sour citrus overtone that turns deeper and danker as the nugs are broken apart and burned away. Oaxaca buds have elongated and airy bright neon green nugs with thick orange hairs and a frosty thick blanket of chunky vivid white crystal trichomes.
I just thot i’d put the link for Michoacán here too:
I just remember those names from 50 yrs back, not much else about it, except it was better than any dispo weed i’ve bought since then. We never thot much about it. I think a lot of it was that “brick” weed as they call it now, well, we called it brick back then too, i think. But mostly it was called Mexican or Mexican dirt weed. Should say however, that those descriptions above kind of fit how the quality of smoke was, as my fading memory of those days recollects .
I’ll leave space for others to sign up since I don’t have the set up to run 20 week plants currently, but excellent to see these seeds being offered to the community, thanks for getting more landrace/heirloom sativa genetics out there!
Nice work @DainIronFoot.
The PS Oaxaca were sourced from Proseeds, purchased by @HumblePie420 and gifted to me. Thanks HumblePie420 for sharing!
Flowering time is similar to the regular Oaxaca but with more plants flowering on the longer side, up to 20 weeks but typically closer to 16. This line is all about the scents. Absolutely heavenly scents to be found, including the fabled Frankincense. 90% pearl phenos when i ran it, and if you do get a short one, it’s going to be kickass.
You’re so kind and thoughtful. Since you’re a fan of sativa types and the styles I’ve got to make mention that seeds stored well in a refrigerator or the like can remain viable upwards of 10-25+ years.
I think you deserve to sign yourself up for some of these if you’re interested in them @holygroveseed. If you can get to them sometime yourself that would be great I think, but if not then I think you’re also the perfect type of individual to help steward these types of valuable genetics for other humans in future generations to come. They won’t be wasted with you because your intentions are true and good. Please sign yourself up for them if you like them. Just my perspective. Many blessings and much love
