I’ve accepted sunscreen is evil — can be better for sure.
Took some close up pictures to try to start sexing these plants, it’s interesting to me that some I’m solidly on the fence still. They’re all TKxGF/BBD. Any better trained eyes are welcome @Rhai88 (and thank you again for genetics!).

I think this one is the most masculine of the bunch.
Forgive me. I went to flip the little buds on the tray in the dry tent and might have snagged a few to sample. 72ish hours into dry. I’m curious to see the changes as the plant dries fully and then cures. Things are still bendy but some of these smaller nugs are already (not totally by any means) drying out a bit more than the others. Time to light up. I’ll be back.
As someone in my very first grow, I definitely had this moment as well
Agreed, I think this is going to be true through the next many years worth of growing, for me at least.
Damn, must have been a good high, still haven’t made it back!
I moved from CO last year, I don’t envy the humidity swings you’re dealing with. Until I harvest anything, I do miss the dispensary system there. It had its issues, but it’s miles ahead of here.
Keep up the good work! You are off and running, I hope it continues to get smoother!
Thank you! The weed here in Colorado isn’t bad by any means — I’ve been really lucky with some stuff from Vera and a few other grows around here recently. About to enjoy some Mr. Nasty with an extra bit of funk to it.
Just finished up the tents for the “morning”. Heading off tomorrow night for a night out of town with my lady friend.
I need to up pot the three plants in the smaller pots but otherwise am just trying to weave the 4x4 plants together every time I take them out or put them back in, lol. Can’t wait to see what they all have in store for me as flowering takes off. The DoMeFast auto is cruising along. Noticed some mycelium growing on the top dressing layer — strong roots hopefully in synergy!
The Maui dry is a day shy of a week in. Seems to be going well. Still bendy stems but getting more woody — sampling a very seeded little nug right now. It’s been a consistent 60-65F and 55-60RH in there. Dark. Minimal HEPA filtered airflow.
How do I properly care for seeds that are fresh before they go into cold dry storage? Several had fallen on the ground of the tent. More out of the nugs getting sampled here and there.
Nice. I recommend you go ahead and throw a nice big cola in a jar with a hygrometer and see what happens. If it goes 63-64+ RH overnight, just take the lid off. It’ll give you a feel as to where you’re at.
Ended up pulling everything out of the dry tent last night / this morning!
Trimming was an interesting experience for me. I liked it! Granted, this was only one plant — I enjoyed getting closer to it.
It was surprising to me how the sugar leaves would dry up to look almost like buds when they were really small and frosty. Got a decent amount of trim into the freezer and 66g of trimmed flower into the jar (one jar not pictured). Soon a Groove bag, just need to run to the store.
Jar sat around 56RH — so a little dry — but I’ll check the meter again tonight and over the coming days. The stems were still bendy but the buds seemed very ready. Total dry time of 7.5 days at 60-65F and 55-60RH.
Excited to share a smoke report. So far I can report way too many seeds, lol. Looked nice enough. Smells lightly floral, piney, and sweet like a fresh orange rub with a hint of lemon. Curious how the cure will develop the plant.
Cure, Day Zero — Moved into a 1/4lb Grove Bag and tossed a few hygrometers in to keep tabs. Going to burp for the next few days just to make sure but then I’ll let it sit. Last checked around 58RH.
Clones are moving along! One is in a 1gal pot and has been welcomed to my mother room — hoping it gets established in good time.
Things are coming in — just waiting for some lights and a PAR meter now.
The TKxGF/BBD (all four) got transplanted to a bigger pot and are settling into their new homes and continuing their veg.
The auto is auto-ing — still needs time. Can’t wait to taste it! …and the Maui! Just waiting for the cure… a little.
I just adjusted lights in the 3x3 and on the clones to be as close to 300 PPFD for the 24hr clones, 700 PPFD for the 18hr auto flower, and 250-350PPFD for the 18hr veg plants in the same tent as the auto flower that is front and center.
Ended up moving things closer and adjusting the intensity of the light in the 3x3 to 100%. Will stay tuned for what the plants have to say. The meter is good — but the plants get the final say!
