(complete) Celtic Stone Preservation run 2023 by Draig and Lady Zandra

Thanks @Green_Light ! We’ve grown their Purple Pinecone years back and it was a beautiful plant. Nice warm indica stone. Still have a couple from 2013 left.

Keep in mind the idea of the Co-op is to stick with F1 breeder stock and not add F2’s into the mix. Just thought I would mention

Thanks hun-- didn’t think about that!!!

Gardentroll is a very trusted friend, more then most. So you can trust that he had a very good eye when making the next generation of seed stock. He must of been impressed with her because he also used it to breed to a few of his favorites. Hey GT, you have any photos laying aboot… we’d love to see some CS shots here. and thanks for offering up your spares… it will benefit us all…

Yes, please @gardentroll we’d love to see any of your Celtic Stone pics!
@Carty has spoke highly of you and mentioned the great work you’ve done with CS in the past. It would be awesome to see her and her crosses!
Thanks GT!

Draig… we blew her up a few years ago in the desert… my great friend Pops lives there and grows outdoors in big sheds. She got huge outdoors, buds 18" long, very nice. I’ll see if he can shoot me some old shots.

I’m thinking about getting ahold of Draco in Perth to see if he happens to have anymore of the original stock. He was in with all of us at CS… might even have a few others… hmmm? I know he had Celtic Hash.

Sure hope we get lucky with this batch you have a going… fingers crossed.

Cool, brother, I’d love to see them!
I do believe I recall Draco because we commented on being Dragons lol I also remember a couple others from Perth. Miss those dudes but, I kind of just dropped out and lost touch with everyone online. I think it was a decade untilI joined OG, I was wondering the desert and growing Manna, lol.

Celtic Hash you say? Wasn’t that one of your favorites? Would be amazing to find some of those still alive! The CS, CH and CB were my favorites. Hell, they were all awesome! I’d like to bring back the whole line up hahaha

The Celtic Stone holds a special place as it being the flagship and this is what Deadvet was working on when he ask me and Lady Z to join the crew he was assemblling.

Oh, we will pull this off brother!

I love the direction things are progressing to. You two does such nice work, I just cannot grow in solo cups for crap. think it’s watering thang… lol. I guess Zandra is gonna have to teach me, again… ha.

Draig, I seen where the idea of GT donating his next Gen of CS was not thought to be a good idea and I understand that… for that reason Sir, I’m sending you my last hold out seeds. The ones you keep just in case the dude you past them to (Guy named Draig), accidentally kills them all… hahaha. but you guys are doing great…

However, it is about selection. So, I’m sending you my private stash from Perth Australia and the only guy to have some CS stock still… my Last 37 Seeds.
I wasn’t sure if this project would be approved and since it has I want to assure we are successful… Be very cool if you could collect pollen off of a few nice males this run and use like 30 to search for 2 nice females to seed up fully…
Keeping 7 seeds to work down the line.

The babies look healthy n happy, who can ask for more…

Wow hun-- thanks! Yes- we are hoping for at LEAST 3 good males—
Of course, we always cull-out any weak or deformed plants… don’t want to pass that on to the offspring. Are HOPING to both open pollinate AND collect pollen, so we can keep producing and ensure diversity. Adding the PERTH stash will do just that-- even with only a few of the seeds! :+1:

This is awesome bro!! I understand not wanting to chance loosing all your CS beans haha. This Sounds like a great plan!

So now, we will be able to use all Deadvet’s originals for preservation run and later for a selection run, for the best representation of Celtic Stone. I can dig it!

Watching patiently this will be a thing of beauty I believe.

QUICK UPDATE!!!
The CS Babies are now 16 days from barely sprouted seeds…
AS soon as the friggin snow stops and I can get out to the grow shop for more planters and soil, they’ll go into their 3 gallon pots!

At least you didn’t have to shovel a path to the barn and retrieve bags of frozen soil to thaw…like someone did this year, lol.

No…but used to have to shovel to the barn 2x a day to care for the goat & chickens ( that we no longer have)
Too old for that crap…over 120 ft to the barn…often 3-4 ft drifts… nope…not again!

This is currently our life out here.
Between the chickens, the dogs, the barn, and the goats, it’s a 300ft trek daily. We had some serious drifts out there today. I probably shouldn’t be shoveling with my injury, but that fluff was taller than my Mucks! No thanks. Lol
