Complete grow kit test

I am looking at the SpiderFarm SF1000; 70X70X160 cm (27.6X27.6X63") for $359
or Mars TS1000; 27X27X63" (69X69X160cm) $349.99

Edit: as with everything prices are up. Mars with coupon $370 And Spider with coupon 389

The reviews show the SpiderFarm wins at this size and Mars winning out at the higher level.

Mars tents use the diamond Mylar pattern, not sure about spiderfarms

I like the zippers on my mars tent

$359 for a 27x 27x 63 tent?

Mine is shorter, 27x27x50 but was under $100

For that matter I bought one off eBay from lumo-x that is 18x48x50 I think it is for like $65

Edit - sorry I think I missed something, you’re getting a tent package, with a light I am assuming?

Yes the tent, light, filter, fan and some little things.

I know the Mars one will get the job done but so will the SF. I know the SF uses Samsung 301b diodes which I really like. Its a pretty close race and I am pretty sure either one will make you happy.

I got the Spider. Amazon are being asses. When I was looking last week it was 359. They jacked it to 479. Than gave “70 off” with a coupon for another 21 to make it only $389. Bought straight from Spider for the $359 suggested retail.

Nice, I looked at them allot a couple years ago. Congratulations, I am sure it will do really well in that space.

Yeah a little. Got a few seeds in her too. Looking forward to a smoke test. Put the cheese into grove bags after drying.

is it the first time using the grove bags? been hearing a lot of buzz about them lately around here

do you think the foxtailing was just because of the stresses it went through? i’ve heard it can be a genetic thing too

Yeah the cheese was a bit temperamental its whole life and had not grown it before. It was a freebie from Sun West genetics. The foxtailing seemed to halt as I tuned the lights down so it might just have been stress. I find I need to start dialing leds down towards the end of flowering.

As for the grove bags no, just got a few to test so am seeing how they work. Will soon find out.

Most feed charts are way off for cannabis growth. Most will make your EC way too high. I tend to control my EC without the use of a feed chart.

Smartest thing I’ve read all day. @Syn

I do as well, I used the freed chart specifically on these as a test with the grow kit and it failed. I ended up dialing the nutes back just to keep the plants going. In the end I tested the grow kit, the feed chart, grove bags and supercropping an auto. The feed chart was the only thing to produce a negative result. We shall see how the grove bags do.
