I did an aggressive defoliation to clear the bud sites and also remove the lower leaves and weak suckers.

Check out the Critical Plus, (lower left) Reminds me of a V8 block with 4 big pistons on either side.

Now it’s all down to the boys…

You aren’t kidding when you say they look kinda like clones! Pretty cool.

…I’m used to working with F2s and F3s (lots of variance).

It took a little time to get used to these as it was a little ‘freaky’ how near-identical they are at first. I checked, the last few generations were multi male/female groups and that’s what I’m doing as well (3F/2M).

Apparently Headband is supposed to be OG Kush as well. One of those ‘renaming exercises’ I’m told.
It would ‘neat’ to secure some seed and tool up a ‘sister line’ to cross.

I’ve heard this as well. I think there’s a couple different cuts and one of the older ones is just a straight rename of OGK. I recall Mr Bob Hemphill mentioning in his potcast interview he holds that cut but also knows there’s at least one more cut that was a Sour D x OG of some sort.

I love it! These should make really really cool breeding stock. Really cool you’re preserving them with a nice selection of genes as opposed to bottlenecking em further. I read back through this thread in its entirety as well as some of the linked threads and… it really does seem like the wild uniformity lends some credence to that pretty sci-fi thought of the rogue S1 male. I’d have to think if it was stray pollen you’d end up getting some weird throws somewhere down the line in the crosses progeny…

pretty cool!

Yeah. You mentioned back around the new year that you thought it would grow out really nice. You weren’t wrong.
It’s like a tabletop covered in buds.

I started feeling guilty after I got my third box…

I had so many beans I wanted to play with and I also wanted to throw some righteous beans back to Overgrow. OG Kush just hit so many ‘green lights’.
So for me, it’s a privilege to do this.

Og kush went to the sour diesal crew in the Bay Area and they were asked to not call it by its name so they called it headband. The headband clone they released is a cross to the sour diesal that happened in a room that was way to hot and resulted in nanners making seeds on the og kush.
If you have headband you have sour diesal x og kush.
