Romulan x Pine Tar Kush
@OriginalDankmaster96 thanks for the PTK pollen!
That sounds like a great cross. Likes where shut down
Damn, that’s amazing!
Very nice to see and my pleasure☺️ I just found out the terp it has through an early test that was rouge pollination of the TC A x Xmas Bud…it’s melon (limonene) which I think could go very well.
About that Rom bud, I don’t think any enhancements could improve. It’s absolutely covered to every nanometer possible!! That’s just mastery @Jinglepot for base nutes. Can’t wait for 2023!!
please tag me if your journaling it really really thinking of doing the same thing in the future when i get my fingers on these beans.
Those are some great looking seeds!
This is so much worse than trim jail, lol
2 of 5 plantplants done. That being said I had one of the Original romulans survive and it the males from the new romulan got back crossed to it. I’ve got those seeds separate as well as the seeds from the Romulan x Pine Tar cross. Those are done. So I’ve shucked 4 of 7 plants… but these are 2 of the 5 Romulan BX plants for the seedrun.
You’re killing it Jinglepot, yeah shucking is worse than trimming for sure thanks for all your effort man
I have to agree, trim jail is like a vacation spot next to shucking hell, lol. Appreciate all your efforts brother, I know your pain.
.
Totally agree.! I had no idea what I was getting into.my first seed run.
Remember those of us that missed the sign-ups! 🥹
It’s looking like there will be extras for all! I just want to make sure I’m fully finished before we start talking about extras
Damn dude, killer work. I can agree, shucking is way worse than trimming. Godspeed
I’ll second or third that your killing it @Jinglepot shucking does indeed suck!
Yup, I agree about shucking, however I remember reading about a trick w cedar cigar boxes and if my foggy memory serves me, the boxes acted as a sifter making the shells and plant matter stick to the surface . I knew I had several thousand seeds to break through and dreaded doing it by hand, but those boxes made it easier to break it apart in those and roll back it and forth, allowing me to smoke what I could keep scrounging for too Maybe an idea to try to make the job easier @Jinglepot
I’ve read that too… although I have enough smoke that I don’t need to smoke this thankfully it was unceremoniously quick dried and not cured… it would be very harsh. Not to mention I only fed these plants general garden 20-20-20 fertilizer for their whole life. I’ve found that by hand, for me, rubbing vigorously to remove the casing and a gold pan and slight blowing separates the seeds quite well… the only problem is that my gold pan is buried somewhere in the snow outside
This is the exact method I’ve used recently. Get it bone dry, crush it all up real fine (with or without gloves), then gently blow and shake. I used tupperware but almost anything would work I think. It also blows out those little white airy dud seeds too.
That looks like Fun !
Nice Work Gentlemen
shuckin seeds…
I hang the plant whole and let it dry right out.
Then I cut the flowers off and rub them through a metal mesh screen
The flower material passes thru the screen and the seeds and sticks do not.
I make water hash with the contents of the large bowl I put under the screen while I’m working.
Then I just have to remove the sticks and under developed seed.
For that I have a 14inch diameter flat bowl and I use it somewhat like a gold pan.
Works pretty good, especially when processing bulk batches of seed.
there was a deseeding box I have seen a few times on the weed sites that is a pretty simple DIY and the blower end of a vacuum gets used to blow air thru the box. I will see if I can locate it.
