(complete) Temple Flo Co-op preservation seed run

I’ve seen them today the seed games. I just don’t think seeds are in the cards for me anytime soon. To many A LOT of nursery clones to choose from

I usually run clones myself. I don’t really hunt for them through nurseries. I have a small click of friends I run with. I haven’t taken in a new strain in over a year and a half.

We have 100’s to choose from. It’s a gamble with the number of seeds I got to sow to find something even remotely close in specs with nursery clones and the majority of the nursery clones were supplied by lic med growers from our state. Pretty proud stockpile in OR

I hear ya. Clones everywhere too. It was a nice change of pace doing this seed run. And I will be incorporating a small percentage of seeds to my grows from now on. It’s addictive.

My thoughts are once I get my indoor set up. I will sow some seeds indoor, probably CBD or strains that won’t usually finish properly outside like this I.B 10 week cut. Outdoor will forever be nursery cuts. The ones I’m eyeing for next year.

The airborne sound pretty killer and the dj we know is awesome, will the blackberry be in the line up also?

I don’t think so. I got one more strain to pick. 3 strains/ 2 clones of each. Could change between now and mid-May. The DJ’s my only non-waiver so far

Hey, I can finally reply here! Or i just stopped being stoned enough to find the reply button.

Great thread @Kavman! Love the 97 flo cut you been holding onto so long. I know what that labor of love is. And its not easy. Kudos👏

Good luck on the tf project. I will be watching. Holler if you have any questions. I’ll do my best to help.

Also I’m ramping up a f13 cut to put in there.

That’s a really good cut. I’ve grown it twice. Great floral blueberry smell, bright pleasant high, well balanced sativa hybrid effects. Cerebral sativa high with no body tension. Good for migraines and muscle pain relief.

If you are growing outdoor watch out for powdery mildew, it’s definitely susceptible.

archive are a little weird about their cuts. The dispensary staff told me that their blueberry is an old seed line, and it isn’t DJ short’s blueberry. They have the genetics listed correctly as (Afghani x Thai x Oaxacan). Doc from archive also says it is not DJ’s blueberry.

so here is a breakdown on some of the early blueberry seed lines and cuts that are not associated with DJ Short’s name.

DJ bred the blueberry polyhybrid and worked the seed line for years.
Oregon blueberry is an older sativa leaning cut of his line which was circulated in the black market era before his name was attached to the strain.

The seed line was also circulated and grown extensively in oregon before DJ’s name was attached to it.

Then the first seed company to sell the line was dutch passion. It sounds like it was a consignment type deal, DJ sent them the seeds and they retailed them. After DJ stopped sending them seeds on consignment, they continued to reproduce and sell their stock without his knowledge.

As I understand it, it was never called “DJ’s blueberry” until DJ short wanted to start his own company.

So my understanding of what archive says is that this is either one of the older blueberry seed lines from before DJ’s name was associated with his line, or they simply don’t use DJ’s name because of his odd copyright claim and demands that no one should work with his strain.

the archive dispensary staff and a dispensary manager that bought clones from archive to retail in their shop have both told me that the archive clones are all seed lines. There are very specific plant health and virus testing requirements in the olcc legal market, as well as a seed to sale plant tracking system. archive occasionally goes back to the seed lines to select fresh mother plants because it makes it easier for them to comply with these regulations and ensure plant health.

this is from archive’s social media (cap by @iamyou_youareme)

I’ve grown the old Oregon blueberry sativa cut, and it’s definitely not the same as what archive has.

I believe the dispensary manager that used to buy their clones wholesale, and the dispensary staff. It’s probably a cut they selected from an old blueberry seed line.

I just harvested my VTF pollinated with Bogglegum and that’s what I feel like too! And instead of what I have ready to grow next but  what is there I can make seeds with next and it’s definitely a GREAT feeling like u mentioned @Kavman so I am just ready to watch them take off and do you know how much they tend to stretch!?

Happy Growing The Doc
