CrunchBerries’Probiotic SIP Thread

If i want to reamend and try no till in a sip, would i still follow the craft blend reamendment guide of 2-4 cups per CF? Seems like a lot of powder to top dress. Also how long until i couls replant? Havent tried reamending yet. I depleted the soil pretty good so i would think i need to by closer to the 4 cup amount? Im thinking i might add some big 6 into that mix but need to do the conversion for that one because they list it for an acre in this type of usage

How many runs do you guys typically go in an earthbox?

I ran my first one 4-5 times without dumping out. Reammended between each run with some craft blend, bokashi, leaves from the last plant, earthworm castings. It ran fantastic and I only dumped out because it was full and I couldn’t fit anything else in it.

Ok. I thought I read somewhere after 2 runs it’s basically all worm castings which is why I ask. Thanks!

I think Jeremy from BAS had said after 2-3 runs his pretty much turned into a worm bin, but it all depends on how many worms you put into it I guess.

Personally I have not tried no’tilling an EB yet, I might have some opportunities to try in the future though heh.

Any idea how much kashi, craft, and worms you added? How long did you wait before repotting? Im assuming you just added as a top dress? Sorry for all the questions, i try to do as good by the plants as i can

Yeah they were all top dresses. Nothing crazy just covered the top of the soil with whatever I was topdressing. About the same as Jeremy would add on a Build A Soil video.

And I would repot after the flower round was done. Repot then top dress.

Hey folks, hope y’all are doin well. We got home last night after a couple weeks out of town. :beach_umbrella:

Thanks to all the encouragement from everyone here, I decided to let the garden go the whole 15d in their SIPs with only the water in the rez. Here’s what they looked like a few days before we left on day 56F:

And here’s how they looked when we came home last night at day 74F:

I filled the rez the night before we left, but it was too hard to topwater so I just let it ride. Everything not only survived, it did GREAT!

I harvested right after these pics were taken. No issues with mold that I can see, but damn am I glad I used that net. This is GM6 at harvest:

Impressive! It was probably good timing on the vacation as your plants weren’t likely as drinking much as they were earlier in flower and it looks like using a net is extremely helpful. Enjoy the harvest!

Awesome. I like how the plants were allowed to use up some Nitrogen so the leaves naturally got yellower. Esp. on the right side plants. I’m glad you put up a net to support the buds. Something i learned the hard way.

That’s gonna be some smooth, tasty smoke!

@nube Hope you enjoyed your trip bud! I’m happy to hear everything turned out well! I had a good feeling it would. How was the soil when you got home? Dry or still semi-wet?

I guess those EBs really do allow you a little more flexibility to leave your grow for a while. I’ve had two of em sitting in a shopping cart for a while now, just debating pulling the trigger and switching the flower tent over

Good Evening Y’all,
Thought it was about time for an update on ole’ duder and projects I’ve got going.

Biggest update! Found out a few months ago that I’m going to be a dad again to another…… BOY! Yikes! Going to be busy around the CrunchBerry residence. Need to make an appointment at the Snip doctor, as my 45th birthday is in a few short weeks! :scissors: Haha! I’m too old for babies! Not really, but it’s a good reminder that I need to get my ass moving and physically active again, so I can keep up! Pretty proud of myself for quitting smoking and am like a couple months cigarette free. It’s crazy! I don’t even think about them any more.

Things took a turn for the weird after the family contracted Covid again and had to cancel our vacation to the beach. Everyone is healthy and enjoying a relaxing staycation. This time at home has allowed me to get some shit down around the hacienda and more importantly relax.

Sunshine 4 #7, 8 from DBJ is super fucking good!

I am very pleased with the high, flavor and smoothness of the smoke. Looking forward to a proper cure. I’ll try to do a smoke report soon, but pop ‘em if ya got ‘em. Definitely something I want to keep around. I’m going to keep cuts of A, B, and C in an EB for later. Prepping the EB now.

Broke down the 27 gal sips and thoroughly cleaned the room. Built six 10gal’ers, basing the design off this tutorial and @Maddawg ’s Added my first lasagna layer today and will also fill the reservoirs.

Looking forward to some variety. I’m still flexible on what I’m going to run next round, but I’m thinking:
SoulMate
Snuggle Funk
Cheech Wizard F2 @nube
Goji OG F2 @syzygy
Clusterfunk
Maybe that SS4 mystery C cut.

Hope everyone is healthy!

Inspiration moves me brightly~Crunchy

Congrats on having the very strong willpower required to quit smoking! I only saw one report on RIU, I’m sure you saw it as well, and it looked very promising for the snuggle funk. That and Cheech Wizard F2 interest me most out of that list. Cluster Funk and Soulmate sound good too. If I had to choose between a Goji F2 or Soulmate I’d probably pick Soulmate for the increased terpene strength of the Wookie… What other Bodhi varieties do you have?
