CrunchBerries’Probiotic SIP Thread

My hope is that more people see the results of growing in SIP’s and want to give them a try.

Once someone witnesses the growth and sees how “Low Maintenance” they really are they will be :fishing_pole_and_fish:

The best part for me is the Natural Growing style you can achieve in a SIP.

Now, I just stop by the grow store just to say high! (pun intended) :dash: 48

One thing I’ve found is my current grows are taking for ever to finish. One thing I sincerely overlooked since I had my tent automated with a NIWA grow hub is VPD. My basement is crazy humid this Fall , and RH is significantly higher when I fill up the water reservoirs in the SIP’s. I wonder if that’s a contributing factor in the buds delaying on forming. Usually my basement is very dry in colder months. Am I pulling a rabbit out of a hat? Or is this absolutely genetic dependent? As the example is growing two triangle kush that are best to take to week 10. It’s on week 11 and buds haven’t formed. They have to flower pubes as I call it.

Do you happen to have a picture of said Grow!
I don’t think I have ever had “Flower Pubes” after 11 weeks before.

You have my interest…

If you’re on week 11 and buds haven’t started forming on those TK plants, you may wanna check your timers or something and make sure you even have them on a flowering schedule. I don’t care if you’re growing a 24-week pure Sativa plant; by week 11, there oughta be significant flower development, even if your RH is higher than it ordinarily is.

Maybe check for huge light leaks, too, or anything that might be keeping them from flowering properly.

Flower pubes at 11 weeks flip huh? My first thought was maybe your light is coming on at weird times affecting flowering.

Yea I mean I run a dehuey because my basement can be on the damp side…but I think the only difference I have noticed is bud density and structure…not finishing time.

This is the example. I want to scrap this grow so badly as it’s been one thing after the next. I don’t think it’s light leaks as I see nothing when I poke my head in at night , just darkness . It’s also a gorilla tent ( not gorilla lite )which is known to be quality. Only thing is maybe the Niwa is wonky? They automate the lights etc. it’s an absolute jungle in the tent but even the nodes up top look the same.

Did you do something different with the soil? It totally could be the light but those leaves look pretty dark green. Excess nitrogen? The only reason I suggest that is that I am pretty sure nitrogen can stunt flowering in high levels.

Ohh I think it has to be light. Lots of single leaves there. Bad timer maybe?

Again I use a Niwa and it is supposed to automate everything but I don’t know how to really read the graph as well as I should for the light category. I’ll ask support . Maybe the data set can tell me. Thanks @Magrowers

Hope you can track it down. It’s so frustrating not knowing why something is happening. I am upset you lost so much time on this grow.

Looks like maybe some N toxicity too?

“Lots of single leaves there. “
Noticed this too, almost looks like it’s revegging

I’m close to scrapping and re-doing this. I am going to see if the lights all go off at 6 PM as intended. The irony is the one plant I really need to re-veg to save a cultivar is not doing much.

Looks like a lighting issue for sure.

The leaves seem to be a curved down and droopy but would have to see a better pic of the leaves before committing to anything there.

I have a Gradpas stash that a friend gave me that was in flower. It has been back in Veg for a couple weeks now and the bud formation is very similar. Single leaves still also…

I would not scrap anything as you have spent time to get your plants to this point. I would check your NIWA / lights and flip that girl back into 12/12. She will be fine.

I haven’t amended for like 6 weeks. I just transplanted into a larger sip thinking that would ride it out long enough. It went into BAS 3.0 soil.

Thing is if it grows any taller , I’m screwed they are already at the light , and TK stretches a ton.I have some other plants and a tk cut I could grow in it’s place .
