I just got them off Amazon. 1000 caps costs very little.
I get 1000 vegan ones on amazon for like $12-15
I found a PET pipette to be the best thing to fill them.
I couldnāt get an oil extraction as potent as ethanol. I tried in the crockpot- it was enough of an extraction. I got a magic butter machine, woah that made it easier. The oil extraction in that was excellent, but not as strong for the same herb. Once Iām producing more than I can use I definitely want to go back to that and skip the solvent transfer. I figure Iām losing a capsule or to in the container transferring etc.
Awesome thanks Iāll have to hop on later and take a look. Same to @anon93244739 .
I got this ablaze setup a few weeks ago.
works great. Wouldāve sprung for the bigger models had I known better, my dumbass sees a $20 price difference and automatically goes for the cheaper one this has caused and prevented a probably fairly equal number of problems/minor inconveniences.
What are your thoughts on it now? Has it held up ?
It works, havenāt used it in awhile but thereās not much that can break on it itās a steel tube, might need to change out the rubber gaskets but Iāve been doing more edibles than dabs lately. Dabs kinda give me that crackhead impulse to just keep doin em
I still need to figure out a stand for my tubes, shit kills my hands having to hold through multiple cans.
Dont forget about lubricants and mercaptans they add to cans of butane for smell and to keep your lighter working good. Those dont evaporate off very well. Youre even supposed to distill medical grade butane before running it through a closed loop. Now imagine the quality of lighter fluid. Even if it says 9x distilled. Its been put into a can that needs those smells and lubricants added to it.
The 9X stuff doesnāt have the mercaptans added like the camp stove/lighter butane has. Still not what youād call āmedical gradeā but vastly better than hardware store butane. The trace amounts of the best ones are hardly detectable and even the worst is pretty good. There are studies all over the interweb to show lab results of various brands.
Mercaptans are just sulphur based compounds to add a stink to natural gas, propane and butane that are used for fuels so leaks are detectable by the human nose as none have any odour of their own.
