Examples of what specific deficiencies look like preHarvest

We did this exact trial under low light also. The deficiencies look a bit different. Less bleached. But basically the same. An orange spec will be black under low light etc.

Barn lime has a good consistency for soil. You can get pallets cheap after Tractor supply leaves them in the rain long enough.

Bert? That you?

Tractor supply said no to supporting diversity and minorities so they get none of my business anymore. Didn’t mean to post something off topic/negative but we as a community should not support companies like that. Barn lime is something I’m gonna look into, but I’d be worried about pH changes also

Not yield related, but flower quality related. I was curious if any studies have been done on flower from the same genetics where one seed plant was flowered after only two weeks from sprout, three weeks, and so on compared to fully matured plants flowered out. As I typed it out I realized it would be tough to do since all seeds are different and whatnot. But, it was always drilled in my head that mature plants produce better flower and I was wondering if maybe a study had proven that wrong and I could flip my little plants now to get them over with. Haha

Look at planting date studies. I don’t think chasing veg time is the right play though. You are better off using healthy, living soil, with organic amendments. The microbial life that this supports results in improved quality in Cannabis and is well established to increase nutrition and secondary metabolites in other plant species; there hasn’t been a compelling reason yet to believe this doesn’t hold up in Cannabis. In fact there is evidence that it works exactly the same in Cannabis!

Not really high res photos but the supplementary materials are interesting

They contain just two pretty cool figures, here’s one:

The other one shows weekly pics for each deficiencies, in good quality. Too big to upload here.

To get them hit the “Download Supplementary Materials” choice in the “Download” menu just above the abstract. Unzip the file, enjoy.
