Mini Monday AM Update(s)!

Since Sat AM a few things happened worth noting.

The 2x ACDC CBD plants have shown sex after 7 days at 12/12 with the 730nm LED. May i humbly present to y’all…

ACDC CBD - Plant 2 - FEMALE:

ACDC CBD - Plant 3 - MALE:

As expected from the sudden skyward growth in comparison to it’s sister plant #3 is male and it’s  's are starting to show.

So that was 3x ACDC seeds planted, 1 male, 1 female, 1 one failed to germinate (which I take as a requested and taken offering from/to the Gods.)

Funny thing is the moment I saw the  's I wasn’t upset… actually, I felt a note of joy and bliss; cause it’s timing is near perfect to swap from downstairs into the 2x2 “male jail” where I will collect it’s golden dust and hit up a full branch of the Female ACDC as well as the OG KUSH CBD which will be the flowering buddy with the ACDC. I get more ACDC seeds to use and SHARE and we all get the same benefits with the strain yet to be named.

This also means 2x plants sharing a 2x4 space versus 3 so they get more room to grow! :hugs:

I repotted the UK Cheese clone #2 which is heading to it’s new home today which made more room in the MedCab so I was able to do another “kink session” of bending a binding with the Manitoba Poison.

The sacred geometry continues… as the pistils it keeps producing under 18/6?! :confounded:

Cropping the Cherry Festival (Red) F2 was both a trial of a task but SUCH A WORTHWHILE EFFORT. I’ve NEVER cropped a plant so carefully, so I have a lot of hope now for this system of “Flower–> Harvest → Reveg → Graft”.

Right now here’s the plant with a successful parts 1 & 2… now for the reveg and then eventual grafting!

And the final update is just another shot of the CSI Humboldt GSC x Chem91 S1’s with their Crockett’s Tangie buddy hanging out in the middle. This is week 9 so they are all 1-2 weeks away from the same “Flower–> Harvest → Reveg → Graft” treatment.

All the best with your Monday!! :fist:

No worries friend you couldn’t have known! It’s still one hell of an impressive plant so I’m gonna leave it and see what happens. :fist:

I’ve had a long and rough day…

It became a working from home day as an AC technician needed to come in. Thankfully everything just required a tune-up and cleaning so we’re good to go again. :crossed_fingers:

Then of course I go downstairs and feel wet feet… in a place that has no business having water… EVER. In a panic I checked the usual suspects around the foundation worrying my fixes over the years are not working anymore and found every spot dry so I took a moment to think about “how water here?” and then it dawned on me… the water heater is behind the wall and stairs where I first found the water.

This royally sucked to think about as the water heater is in a crawlspace accessible only through a very cluttered area and even more cluttered “u-turn” to then crawl to the thing. As far as water leaking possibilities in my basement THIS IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST. It took 1/2 the day to clear out the basement (all while struggling to figure out where everything can go as this was the storage area) & battling “surprise water” with a shop vac, a bucket and a towel. Finally it was all cleared and it was confirmed OF COURSE… it’s the fucking water heater…

It was dripping hard from a base-crack so it’s gotta be replaced; but also the water isn’t stopping… but at least it’s not spraying! Once we knew the issue we called the right people who showed up as fast as they could and in the time we were waiting I had cleared out access for the plumbers to do what they needed to do. It was too late in the day for the job to happen then and there, so it’s tomorrow am and no (or) cold shower tonight.

I opted for the no tbh, the area the tank is in is a crawlspace about 5ft tall so my back is KILLING ME. The ONLY thing that I pushed myself to do in a very crowded laundry room was to up-pot ALL my 2022 veg that has sprouted already:

I’m gonna do 2 things for the 1st time today:

1: Eat.
2: Lay down. (I would have said “sit down”, but I did sit to type this out.)

 / :sleepy: / :metal:

At least it wasn’t the pump balder. I stepped into ankle deep water and had a basement garage. The rest of the house is 4 ft underground in a hill. I can’t imagine how much water would have been in a 100% underground basement. It pumps under pressure. It still flooded every thing in the basement.

But any water where it doesn’t belong is baaaad. My well pump is in a 4 ft high area under the stairs.

Hope all is well now.

Don’t forget about ‘shrinkage’. You’re welcome.

Man that sucks, sorry to hear it.

I had a similar thing with a cracked basement wall under the stairs. Dragging out all the wet stuff you are storing is no fun, and mopping up freezing cold water on your knees in a low ceiling space is worse.

I didn’t have a shop vac at the time, I was mopping up 10 gals of water 4 times a day for 3 days until it stopped, nearly crippled my knees and back.

I bought a shop vac specifically to deal with the problem but thankfully since I repaired it with hydraulic cement , it’s never leaked again.

This isn’t my first rodeo down here BUT is my first water tank rodeo. Feeling how hot the water being lost was was rather upsetting as I’m paying to loose all that hot water!

The crawlspace was deemed “to tight” back in the 70’s so my grandparents and father spent a summer DIGGING OUT 1/2 of the crawlspace by hand and carrying out the material bucket by bucket out the back door. Once it was another 2ft deep they got a crew in to finish up everything. That’s when they found out how high the water table is here… so they ended up digging a section another 2ft down and that’s where the sub pump lives. Every 5 hours it goes of… and if there’s a power failure I have 8 hours before it’ll start to flood the basement.

In a power failure I immediately set a timer; and then at around hour 7 (if the power’s still out) I go downstairs and bucket brigade the hole until it’s below the “8 hours to flood” line.

The shop vac lives in the basement for my garden, and shit like this  / :man_facepalming:

Mini AM update:

The ACDC Male is gonna start cropdusting any day so I pushed after all the day’s stresses to get this done after lights on so I wouldn’t have a “disaster” in the basement.

It’s HUGE, like @Foreigner 's Everyday Haze stretch huge if I don’t deal with this now. So I pulled out a “locker shelf” i use for RDWC scrogging (per site), a baking sheet, plant ties and a few sheets of foil

Ridiculous? Yes.
EFFECTIVE? Very!

I’m taking no chances so I’m pushing headroom to new limits

All this moving around also meant that the ACDC Female and the CBD OG KUSH S1 have more space to grow… and they obviously need it from my hard work getting them this far

With the added space I can finally do some more LST with the ACDC Female who was squished into the corner.

All while this is happening I was baking a South African / Hungarian dessert of Apricot jam squares for my family “Springtime is here” gathering. They call it Easter but I don’t. :egg: :seedling:

I love the texture grating the dough as a topping creates

And after baking. It was left to cool overnight and I tossed it into the fridge with a little plastic wrap on top. It’s supposed to be cut into squares but I’m leaving it as a slab for us to decide on the sizes to cut on Friday when we eat this. :+1:

Have a Thursday! :cloud_with_lightning: :hammer: :cloud_with_lightning:

Just a suggestion. If you can, put a screen over that foil it will save you having to pick out all the bits of male parts.
Your dessert looks great! :yum:
