Oh hell’s ya the Jalisco Landrace project is taking off!
They are a lot smaller than I expected and we’re at start of week 5 of flower. The 2 week of vegetive growth at 24/0 did seem to work with making small and healthy plants.
I collected dust off the 3 males yesterday after the epic day’s long endeavour to crop & wash the . Before ruining their looks with the task I took these shots.
They are really dashing looking plants and I look forward to seeing how they develop from this stage over the next 2 months. Up close my heart races with excitement of what is to come from all this work and patience.
The Jalisco Landrace got another dose of @BudBusterPro today! The females are well pollenated and I collected dust of the males last night so I’m not worried. Next dust collection will be when I cull the males in a few weeks time.
I passed out after eating lunch and after waking up I decided to toss on “Eight Legged Freaks” and start planning the winter run.

I culled the Jalisco Landrace males yesterday. They were so nice and healthy I almost cried for real; but it’s the start of flowering week 6 so they had to go as I want what seeds are in the females to get all the energy from the plant into them and not into producing unviable seeds over the next 6 weeks.
What’s done is done. They got fully cut down, and then all the remaining sacks run through by hand onto a sheet of aluminum foil to get every thing in them. This was tossed into a fine colander and sifted onto more foil so there is no plant matter. All the pollen gathered is sitting in a metal cookie container with a “closet damp trap” to suck out any moisture present.
The top of this thing is filled with a desiccant (most likely calcium chloride) which will pull all the moisture out of the air with it collecting below. This is also how I used to dry psychedelic mushrooms without heat for maximum potency.
There’s a gallon of My Good Green Bokashi Pro-Gro fermenting in Quigley’s room nearing 48 hours this evening. This will be fed to all the cannabis in the house (Jalisco’s and UK Cheese) this evening at lights on.
I’ve never used this before but got a few samples the other week and read up on it enough to feel it’s absolutely a good idea to include in my feeding schedules so here we are with the first test.
The leaves of Jalisco are described as lime-yellow green so I’m not actually feeling they are doing far off from what they would be doing if they were in Mexico.
Finally the group shot of all 6 ladies in their new configuration for the remainder of this grow.
