Ghost Families?
Of course!
I got it as a wee seedling in the early 2000’s and have been trimming and keeping it going since.
It is a dwarf! In it’s hayday it turned pink with blossoms! Now it throws them out here and there as it’s getting older but the wood it’s got makes it my own little tree of life
An update on the little ones.
All are coming along in development and are still getting the same treatment.
The two that stand out are the Buddha’s Cane and the Alien OG but for very different reasons.
The Buddha’s Cane stands out because it’s stalled…
I’m not as bummed as I could be as I’ve had a fantastic personal record with germination the last few months so it’s one of those times it just happens . Rather than mope, i’m letting this runt sit and do what it needs in hopes of finding a happy plant down the road.
Otherwise; if it’s still trudging come the 6th I’ll toss another Buddha’s Cane seed into water when I start my 4x Spotted Limes F2 for the solo-cup challenge.
The Alien OG is quite the opposite and needed a brace early in the week as it’s taking off back to space!
@Oldtimerunderground what did you do to these beans?!
Cheers folks!
LOL those are some seriously long baby legs if it stretched any more than that it would be in space
What kind of mix are you using to start seeds again?
PromixBX
Earth Worm Castings
Perlite
Biochar
Insect Frass
Basalt dust
dolomitic lime dust
Leave it to you… I will make it happen.
Thank you for the info.

Let’s talk about your character…

Writing the prolog and working out the opening story line, i like your aeration of the soil in cups, i know it stank real bad using that old soldiering iron… awesome work.
Taking my granddaughter trick or treating, I gotta get over to the Halloween thread, check yah later.
I get that. I don’t stay on my thread that much because I spend most of my OG time seeing what my friends have going instead of showing my own off. lol
You got a good show here though.
What about stealth plants like a Duckfoot or something similar?
How subversive do you want to be…
(trick question, I already know the answer… )
Gpaw’s suggestion…
Give away little samples of full spectrum CBD (30:1) extracts to them…
…Get them hooked…
Their first hand experience will ‘trump’ conflicting propaganda.
Old farts will appreciate what CBD will do for them. Separated from the psychedelic component will produce converts.

FUCK.
Serious Phosphorus deficiency occurring in the Jalisco Landrace plants. Some are better than others and the seeds are decently along (this sat = start of week 8 flower) but it’s a 12-13 week strain so this isn’t the most idea situation to find myself in.
It all started happening right after the temperature’s dropped. The tent runs at 24-25c during lights on but drop to 17-18 at night. This would make the plants take-up different and I thought I caught it but clearly not enough as the pots stay heavier longer than I had expected so the plants are not drinking very much.
This and there was a seasonal shift in my city fed water’s PH. In the summer it ran at 8.1-8.4 ph out of the tap and is suddenly closer to 7.2? All would have been accounted for but it also turns out my PH pen was OFF CALIBRATION for a few weeks as I do usually do a monthly cleaning & calibration but totally forgot to do this in October due to all the fucking trim jail time!
So this means that my plants have been getting PH closer to 5 than the 6.0 - 6.3 I aim for.
Most all of the largest of all the fan leaves have necro’ed and i had to pluck em off and this am on a double check I see one of the plants is showing dead and brown tips on most of the leaves slowing traveling back into the plant. The others don’t freak me out like this one but it still may just be the start.
@Papalag , you had mentioned that seed runs generally go faster than the flower runs with these type of sativa’s; do you have any suggested ballpark for a 12-13 week flower-run as a seed run?
As for the plants, all I can do now is hope that a small oil-space heater in the tent will help out the plants in the dark period without drying them out too much… and that the emergency dose of my strongest dose of flower nutes help.
(i’ll take some painful photo’s later and share em for any insight from all you wonderfuls)
I think once you fix your pH most of your problems should go away. Some temp swings are no big deal.
Just rip off the ugly affected parts. They’ll be ok.
I agree
Definitely ph your feed / water you have 4 more weeks it’ll be fine
It can shave off a week or better but this will be fine
And seeded plants tend to look a bit worse the normal imho
Thanks for this @Papalag !
Okay I was f’ing tired yesterday so I forgot to snap some shots. I’m still tired today but fuck it I took pics anyways passed out and now posted them as I just woke up
Jalisco Landrace
Up close you can see the PH issues mostly expressed on one plant but all of them have a little bit of it going on.
Double AM update! Here are the little ones for the winter run doing their thing. Even the wittle-runt Buddha’s Cane has started to do… well something at least
Today marks Day 11 since hitting water which means that I’ll be up-potting all but the Buddha’s Cane* on Monday. The BCane will stay in the speed pot until there’s more action on top.
Since I’ve started using Biochar I’ve been making up my soil mixes a few weeks in advance so the material soaks in some of that goodness and for everything to harmonize as it were.
The Alien OG is litterally being sucked up into some I can’t see. That’s my logic anyways otherwise why the fuck is it so big already!?
Man, I love my Buddahs Cane plants. It’s gonna be a shame to cut them in a couple weeks. They are just now, I noticed this morning, starting to show a bit of fade. The top fans are starting to give that purple copper tinge to them. I’m excited as I can be about these. Glad I took some clones.
Mine got really colorful before chop. Beautiful plants for sure.
Can’t wait for your expert opinion on the smoke.
I started using Florakleen in the final week and it really BOOSTS those colours to show!
Same!
