Question growmies anybody ever grew a fast seed? How is it ? Far as taking nutes and light schedule?
I’m looking to get a few or try out a few here soon and want to get as much info on it for growing purposes also getting knowledge out to others that may wonder. I’m stuck in between the decision of using organic soil, or synthetics… the synthetics I have is floral flex and general hydrophobic 3 colors.
Which one is better between the two synthetic? Or go organic?
I’ve grown the fast variant before and I believe the thought process is they are bred with an auto to allow for a faster flip to flower and end overall flowering time. General hydro and floraflex are both good brands. I used a bit of general hydro its cheap and effective and I have a buddy who uses the floraflex system but Jack’s 321 nutes and says it works well. I’d say general hydro will probably be the cheapest option and best bang for your buck
Combine the three methods. Use 1/2 strength one nute 1/2 the other and add organic methods like actively aerated compost tea to increase microbial life in your soil to increase nute uptake. Make sure you get a nice ph meter and aim for 6.5(Bruce bugbee’s studies.)
GH 3-part is a fantastic nutrient regimen. There’s a reason it’s been around for like 60 yrs and is still one of the most widely used. It dilutes easily, doesn’t clog drip lines, and you’re less likely to have plant problems than with most other nutrient lines.
I don’t have a lot of experience with running many different nutrient lines, but I have run Advanced, which I did enjoy, but I found to be a lot of bottles, for no reason. And have since moved to Jack’s 321, for indoors, and I rock an amended “Coot’s Mix” outdoors. I really love Jack’s. @Pharaoh989 As far as fast varieties go, if you go the route of what @HighTilliDie described, I have a small amount of person experience with running some “Fast” photoperiod seeds I made, by hitting a Feminized Auto Flower, with a Male Photo, and the results were interesting to say the least.
I ran probably 10 of these. I had 4 of them that looked like they were done at the end of week 6.
With varying degrees of looking finished amongst the rest, to some that finished at regular intervals. It is very intriguing, to say the least.
I personally don’t really prefer anything with ruderallis anymore. But that’s probably just personal preference honestly.
Thank you @everyone for the advice I definitely agree with general hydro I love the results so far and I honestly like it for the pricing… same with floral flex haven’t really used it yet but I am run the two synthetics side by side same strain also from the same mother plant so the results should be a visual think in my opinion I will lyk the results… must say though general hydro is having amazing results!
I crossed some Gambien with an auto Widow Maker. Came across the seeds the other day.
Will grow some out in my next run which will start around mid-Feb to 1 Mar.
