If it were me I would do it with the weird males. Lol that didn’t sound right. In the distant past I had a similar growing plant that pollinated my girls by accident cuz I didn’t know better. I grew out the seeds and yes they started out weird but the harvest was off the charts. I passed around the seeds to everyone. People still talk about it till this day. We called it mutant x.
Your right, that doesn’t sound right at all. lol
I think the fems you got in the past was from someone that had a plant that had herm problems within its genetics. All the fems I’ve gotten never hermed. Just speculation tho.
I would trash that male.
Greenpoint/Hiesenbeans
I agree. If I put the time into breeding it mind as be worth your time to make the best you possibly can.
No real time used to dust some branches.
I don’t see you stressing them because you are a wonderful grower. So that make me suspicious about where the seeds came from.
If you and Rocketboy are referring to the Cookieland male, perhaps @Floyd is growing it with the Cookieland breeder in mind. Maybe he’s trying to help the breeder create a BX with the original (and super special GSC) mother plant…
We are talking about the ugly C99 male not the handsome Cookieland male. lol
Oops! My bad. I guess I’m biased…and protective!
Edit:
He IS a stud!
By the way some of the pods have opened on that guy but no pollen was in them.
Its strange, hoping as it matures and they really start popping Ill see some pollen.
FYI everyone! If I ever come across some kind of way it really is not my intention. I love everyone here like family. Really. I was just saying that if @Floyd got fems that hermed that it could have been passed down to there offspring from the parents that hermie naturally.
All just speculation. I love you guys. I the farthest thing from a troll. Pinky Promise
@Purple-N-Hairy I was not saying anything about you. I love your work. I Complimented on your work yesterday. Really I come peace .
Yea… I didn’t take offense from @Purple-N-Hairy comment.
Also I don’t think Floyd swings that way PNH
JK
Thanks - and I didn’t take offense. I wasn’t aware you were referring to the C99.
Only a mind like yours would think in those terms
All is good
I would recommend holding the clones and pop more beans to find a more suitable male to make reg seeds, since that’s the way you want to go.
C99 is a solid strain and I’ve never had it ever herm on me. I think it would be an excellent candidate for feminized seed, but I understand your view, because I love reg seed and breeding. I don’t mind growing regs and pulling males at all, but not everyone shares the same passion. Making a fem line can really help get these great genetics into more gardens and you could always do a reg line down the road.
