Ok. My first ever cross I made about 18 months ago will be the first gift I give this community.
I reversed a Mephisto Double Grape and it smelled like Funyuns. The pollen was put on a branch of the best Sour Stomper (Mephisto) I’ve grown, resulting in a cross with very deep grape smells with some notes you might get from a loud Chianti or Beaujolais. Medium sized plants with a PM leaning high.

Is the Sour Stomper an autoflower plant?
I am just wondering if this is a full auto flower, or a fast flower/photo plant cross.
Edit: I googled it an apparently it is an auto.

If it was only one strain auto it needs crossing 3 times to get full auto.

I believe that Sour Stomper is also an auto flowering variety alongside Double Grape. Both by Mephisto.

Are fast flowers really truly a thing that has been observed and documented? I saw that term for the first time a few weeks back and kinda half-scoffed at it.

Part of the genetic line up as far as I understand. I also have a fast blueberry 105 day that just sprouted so I guess I’ll let ya know in about 102 days!

It’s a thing for sure. It is the generation between a photoperiod and an autoflower. Before the recessive traits can become dominant.

Right, but how does it express physically different from a photoperiod? or is it just referring to a hybrid that has a parent or grandparent with the auto gene?

Oo, that’s a good question. But one for the big dogs I fear. I’ve never grown a fast flowering.
