no, it is a different thing - washing is just washing away the dirt, grime, hair, fuzzies, mold, bugs, bug poop, nutes, growing medium, etc. - all of the things that stick to buds and make them harsher to smoke.

I hang them on my washing line outside for the day in the summer. Not done a wash for winter harvests yet but was thinking of using a salad spinner to get rid of excess water and then on my drying rack.

Salad spinner is exactly what I had in mind when I was reading this. Gonna try it out in a couple months on a sample amount to compare.

a salad spinner would work, but it’s overkill I think, since it works fine without using one. I googled and found a 5 gallon salad spinner for around 100 bucks that I might consider if I were to go that route

I did a wash with my last grow. Very scared going into it, but it all came out okay! Super smooth smoke. I’ll probably do a wash with every run going forward

An Old Hippie near Tonasket Washington has been growing it from seed for over 30 years. Apparently he’s very picky about his breeding. I was supposed to meet him four years ago to get seed from him but it never did happen. Maybe I ought to reach out to my cousin and see if he can’t get some of them for me. Don’t ask me where he got the male for the pollen. Perhaps it wasn’t always a clone only strain. It would have been easy enough to snag a male and a female cutting from the University.
I’ve heard good things about this one. Supposed to be a relaxing but strong high. Nice looking plant. Hows the smell/ taste? I’ve never seen or tried it.

Not too try and make anyone made. True uw is purple. I’ve seen it growing at uw grow facility. I guess there could some crosses out there but it should be purple.
Was it temp induced or is it a true purple strain?
True purple strain. UW school colors are purple and gold. Grew up south of seattle.
