Fun with hole diggin

Ahhhh. You stir rice in water until the water is cloudy. Strain off the rice. You have a card rich bacteria food now. Loosely cover it and it will attract bacteria from the air. This takes several days at least. By adding the middle layer to milk, it allows the lacto bacillus to out compete the other bacteria. The lacto bacillus aid in fermentation that is close to odor free. The fruit itself is getting rank now without it.

Is this method supposed to outperform the brown sugar method

It’s exactly the same except for the smell from what I’ve read. I’m married, so I’m trying to keep the smell down :joy:, plus the lbs last a long time. Other knf recipes call for it, so I figured why not. I think you will be good buddy.

We were given a Mango, and we aren’t really fans. I ate a bit of it, and added the rest in for ya’ll.

I never cared for mangos either. How are your plants doing man? Are they flowering yet?

I just had some mango salsa killer . But whatever you have going on inside that jar would most likely destroy anyone’s appetite lol . I hope your plants like it .

Gramps- It smells almost just like wine right now. We will see. It is pretty strong also apparently. It only takes an ounce per gallon. Apparently you make the veg fert by putting growth tips you top into the lb serum as well. Interesting stuff.

Corey- they are stretching right now, and still healthy. The sour deisel has a little yellowing at the bottom. Not too much, so I’m sure I’m good there. I’ll try to get some pics up tonight.

Man @gramps I still can’t figure out why the tops of one of my plants is yellowing. I added more nitrogen as u suggested. It didn’t green up the tops but it did the rest of the plant. Maybe it’s what it’s absorbing deep in the clay

When they tell you temperature makes a difference in dealing with bacteria, they are serious. It should have taken me a week to get to the point I can strain my lbs. Thanks to my got garage, a few days.

I was brave and I did take a couple bites. Strong, cheesy, cottage cheese, warm, not yummy. I have heartburn issue and have been trying yogurt to reduce it. This stuff could help. If not, this could be my last post. Hope I did it right! !:joy:

I got this chunk, which the dogs and chickens enjoyed after I ate mine, and over 5 cups of lbs.

No stomach pains yet, so I must be good. I’m pretty much out of room at this point, but these girls are maybe at the point I should leave them alone now anyhow. Any input? They sure look happy.

Hey @Badger how are your plants doing? Are you still making teas and malting grain?

I’ll get some pics tonight. I’ll probably just give them some of the fruit fert once it is ready. I’m hoping for a simple finish from here on out.

Here is what I’m making today. My friend insisted I borrow his extractor, so I am taking advantage of it. It’s alot simpler than the other way to make canna butter.
