Fun with hole diggin

I gave them another dose of the knf fruit fertilizer tonight and pulled off a bunch of the dead and dying fan leaves. The deisel is more photogenic, but I forgot to take a pic after. The mosquitos chased me off. She is plumping up day by day. I’m getting pumped.

Those are some mighty fine looking plants!
I wish I could do a plot like that in my yard, I’ll check in here to live vicariously through you as the living will be good :grinning:

Best of luck with the fall season

Thanks so much man. That means alot coming from you! It’s actually my buddies yard. He is a super nice guy to let me have a plot. The really cool thing is a couple of clones in the back are his sons, so I am teaching a newbie. He is so excited to get a harvest and wants to start with seeds next year. I told him I would have his back on seeds :grinning:

So much great information here. Living soil looks so fulfilling. Was so interesting seeing the information about collecing leaf fungi.

It feels like both times I gave my plant mycochum she seemed so happy. The most recent time it was after after her up pot last night. Was expecting to see an upset girl this morning and it seems like she grew. Which makes me want to just try my own teas even in soil.

Yes sir, teas definitely help overcome shock for sure. I’ve learned so much about soil microbiology over the past several months, it’s unreal.

I’m glad I got your wheels turning. I’ve read alot about how this type of growing can add to the terpene profile and flavor of plants. I had some white widow yesterday that had an unreal flavor,
and great long lasting buzz. It was grown by a guy that needs to learn alot still. The dry and cure was in question, and the trim job did not look great. It was high quality, smooth smoke.

I really can wait to see how mine turns out. It’s has been a long time since I’ve grown, but really has been super fulfilling so far. Especially the fact that I mixed my own soil and the plants are loving it.

Thanks for stopping in man, I appreciate the love.

The exact reason I want to do living soil indoors. The giant pots scared me for my first grow lol. When I get my feet under me I want to switch. I love the thought of having a natural approach rather than nutes.

There are a couple threads around here where people have grown large plants indoors, 1 under a large light. I think that may be the ideal way to do the living soil indoors. I also like the idea of @mr_jones15 setup for living soil. I think if you keep adding bits, top dressing, and cover cropping it may keep going for a bit.

I’m no expert, but I want to try some things when I can get the green light for indoor.

Ooh been wanting to see more examples to get an idea of what i want. I believe its best to cover crop. You can also add worms as they aerate the soil/fertilize.

Nice hardcore organics Badger. This shit is like riding a bike. Never forget and it comes back quick. Never grew in soil back then but I’m liking it. Lots of new cool shit. Grow on brother

Thanks man, I’m loving this. I was just talking to my wife about starting another worm bin. She was super excited, not really! :joy:

Right, once you’ve done it, it’s seems instinctual almost. Thanks for stopping in!

That’s a cool looking setup for a couple plants. Nice work. They would be nice to work in with a little height like that too.

I need to be better able to get around my plants next year. I will try to plan it better next time around. Live and learn, right?

:+1:t2: Casters are on the way…I plan on putting six overflows from indoors. Just started the bloom here. Just waiting on the others to catch up on height.

I can’t wait to see it all loaded up. Great idea, and easy to move. Nice.

Well, to be fair, I believe it was @Guitarzan who warned me about the"little green bastards", and I meant to get some bt and hit my ladies every so often. I got busy, had other stuff come up, and didn’t do it. I go to look at the ladies tonight, and see several spots that look like budrot I have seen in the past. Instead of mold in the middle I find a dang caterpillar.

Guess I will be getting some bt tomorrow.

Mental note: take good advice.
