Make up your mind what your talking about here.
Iām talking about 2 things dude. First, insinuating JB is being a dick for asking since heās a clone seller. I disagree because itās important. In fact, your acting like a dick right now.
Second, there ignoring my question. Mayhe learn how to read ?
okee dokee
havent seen any info on hlvd being airborne if not mine have no contamination risk.
if this is legit for $50 and just a fan leaf sample i will get mine tested before/during flower.
within 48hr planting window now, hopefully, gave them a tiny bit of TTF today.
gotta get out of the city too many bugs here, one had a munch on the OD.
Bugs are bad this year. I can tell. I had to lolli pop and super crop sooner and ramp up my preventative pest foliar.
Itās not that simple. Fan leaf testing is not very accurate. You need to submit root samples and even then you want to go with a reputable lab.
Do you say you have no risk because you donāt take in clones ?
i thought the studies concluded the amount of seed stock that carried the viroid was under 0.5%?
or the peat/perlite mix could be contaminated? or the tap?
not sure about trimming the roots for testing unless the plant is showing real signs of being sick.
What study was that ? I donāt think there is a cannabis specific study yet that showās transmission rate. In hops I think itās about 8-10% transmission in seed
If your going to do testing, what Iām saying is the leaf only tests are very unreliable
yea i get that, ill happily do it if the plant is sick during flower.
i did find one article pointing to an actual study that had those low (or about) of transmission rates in the seed, didnt look at any actual data from it. ill go find it again and edit this post after.
i did find a lot of places claiming the seed stock was contaminated without actually citing a study though, which i found interesting.
edit: this is where i saw that @Dirtroadfarmerā¦

In one follow-up study, 100% infected parent plants were used to produce F1 hybrids, which showed no infection when grown under greenhouse conditions. 3
The researchers found that, once these F1ās were reintroduced into an outdoor garden, HpLVd reemerged gradually over a period of ten years; the study suggests that is a result of contamination from an uncontrolled environment. Throughout the entirety of the study, only two āweakly-positiveā samples were found amongst the F1 hybrids, having 0.5% of the minimum viroid level to be considered āinfected.ā
i mustve thought it was a cannabis study by accident. there is no physical way these clones couldve touched those seedlings unless it did travel by air though.
I think itās still early days with the seed transmission info. We need more studies. Tumi has done some studies on it I believe but I canāt remember what they found
I planted a cannabis seed and it grew cauliflower.
Now that takes some talent.
fuckin plant hpv.
maybe the birds and bees carry the hplvd everywhere outdoors. if so im screwed no point in buying expensive cuts then
Wonder if the birds can catch hplvd
I know at least 30 growers I can hit most of them throwing a rock. You know what they donāt talk about. Plant HPV. Why. Not here.
2 cents worth or price less advice. and why i trust your business!
I posted this recently. It gives a lot of updated info about Hplvd
I received my order today, well packaged and healthy and clean. I will order again but hopefully they will have some different strains. I want the legacy strains like Chemdog, Og Kush, SSH, etc. this time I got MB15 and Pure Kush
