Going out door in upper Midwest, choosing the right time

So the situation at hand is as follows; I have two mothers one that i want to move out side into the sun and let nature take its course. I want the mother plant that is in veg to go out side this spring at the appropriate time, however i have heard of situations where the plant recognizes a naturally shorter day as the days are still getting longer and begin flowing, then enter reveg, then enter flowering. I would like to avoid this. Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

What is your actual light schedule? If it is much longer than daylight outside, even if you will have later on longer days it might start to flower … icon_e_confused|nullxnull

Im on 24 right now.i feel i could go 18-6, and set it to a similar cycle, but i would like it close some how. Other must have done it plenty without failure. So i am curious if there is anyone in the region, maybe just what their seedling transplant date it. Idk.

I’m in Michigan and I would put out plants that size mid June. Definitely change your light cycle down to 18/6 and ideally 16/8 before going out. I’m not sure where in the Midwest you are, but wait until you have 15 hours or more of daylight before planting out.
