Wicked cool thank you that was awesome all the recipes I’ve ever looked at in one place
Was that meant for me bud? I don’t have a problem with any of it. I’m trying to learn and differentiate. I want to understand.
Personally, what I use right now is Clackamas coots mix, basically. I add some poo.I do not use those other things you mentioned. I don’t look down on it either. To each their own.
Sorry, was kind of meant as a joke with all the “gross” stuff gardeners work with lol. Yes to each their own, as long as the plants are happy. I’ve been feeding bits my guinea pigs poop to the start of my worm bin all the bedding from the g pig and two pet birds goes into my compost when I clean him.
That’s right, the Guinea pigs! No worries at all. I get a bit hyper focused at times
I also love a joke, sorry I missed it.
I’ve got enough shit going on to have to worry about buying and mixing 90 fucking different things together! (Yes I KNOW SOME ARE GONNA BLOW THERE TOPS) but since the owner of my garden supply ship turned me onto Bumper Crop I’ll never use anything else! Same soil, same water and I haven’t had to check my pH in years!!!
It’s not really that many, can you count?
It does get a bit taxing to mix and mix and mix from different bags. Down to earth has a formula called bio live. It has many different ingredients and it looks like a good balance, plus it has beneficial microbes and mycos. I’m going to try it for amending used soil. I thought it may be a good one stop ingredient for building a supersoil. It may need some rock dusts added however (depending on if you use them), and may benefit from added k. It looks like a pretty good blend though.

Edit: Bumper crop looks like good stuff as well.
That’s why I’m giving trifecta+ a go, it’s all mixed into a blended dry fert to mix into soil or used as top dressing. Unfortunately they’re sold out right now, hope they restock before spring
Well the 15lb bag is available again…
I don’t think the following option has been noted yet here, but apologies if this is redundant:
Another approach to organic growing in a water-only environment is to amend coco with organic dry ferts like FF, Mother Earth, Gaia Green, GeoFlora, etc. The mix can be further supplemented with other organics too, of course, and I also like using a lot of compost teas for the microbial punch. One of the advantages is that, much like a super soil, the medium can be reused, and re-supplemented with the dry ferts to re-achieve the “baseline” range of NPK and other fundamental plant beneficiaries, but unlike a SS this can be done instantly by just mixing the stuff back in, with no need for “cooking” the soil as such.
Yes, these are mostly time release formulas so they are not immediately available, but if you are using recycled coco residual nutritive content from the previous grow is plenty to get things started.
My most recent grow in a 4x2 footprint yielded just under a pound, and probably cost a negligible $10-15 in nutes.
Great collection of recipes all in one spot thanks for sharing @Gpaw!
Thanks for the info! It’s greatly appreciated. I’m trying to figure out an automated system that requires water only. My work schedule requires me to be away from home.
Peace

Check out the blumat watering systems.
A few folks around here use them for just that purpose and seem to be happy with them.
Cheers

I obviously wasn’t being serious about the amount of ingredients needed and as I said SOMEONE IS GONNA GIVE ME SHIT!! What works for me clearly is an issue for you!! This is why I’m not on all the forum!! Everyone is fucking know it all professional and everyone has a some sort of issue with what you say!! Have a good day bra
What??? A guy named badger… Giving you shit? Naw! Never!!
Trust me, I’m not a know it all. I’m still learning like the rest of us. Thought you would be up for a hard time.
Edit: I was starting to think you were kinda cool. I apologize if I caught you on an off day.
Nothing wrong with a bagged soil if it works for you! I’ve been looking for coast of Maine’s stoneington blend, which is locally made but has been on back order I don’t have the space or time to be mixing up and storing that much soil for that long. I’m going to look for that bumper crop locally too, but I’ve only found a few things from them at my grownshops, might have to stop by a garden center/nursery before the season ends.
We don’t have grow shops around here.
Stop badgering me please!! Lol

yeah, I get that you like that soil you’ve been using it. I’ve seen you post it several times now. And there is nothing wrong with that. I started using Fox Farms Coco Loco. Now, I enjoy mixing the soil, I dont do it often because I run beds “no-till” style.
Ya I was gonna start doing that as well but I’ve never got around to it.
Yes there’s something to be said about simplicity K. I. S. S.
I’ve always had a hard time paying somebody else for labor when I’m capable myself. I think it would be a great alternative for me if I wasn’t well again to go with a pre-packaged mix.
Always seem to have hard time getting them up here in Canada, not anymore.
