Ok. but what about culling a clone, that when you cut it you knew you didn’t have room, but just can’t waste a good cutting, and just gotta put it in the cloner? I should have some blueberry clones in the same boat shortly ROFLMAO

Found the solution grade gypsum at a brew supply barn. 6 bucks for a pound.

Ooohhh yeah? Never thought to look. Bet it was with all their other stuff. Someone may be swinging by Southwest Grapes and Grains on the way home.

FYI. On the shelf, only little 2 ounce bags. For 1.99 each.
I asked for larger qty and he hooked me up. White powder. Weighed it out on a scale - felt very 80’s coke drug deal. lol
Told him it was for growing and that I really did not need 50 pounds. lol

Calcium (22.5%) and Sulfur (18.0%) in a 200 mesh solution grade formula

Website shows it as $4.99 a pound. :+1: might as well grab some rice hulls and malted barley too.

Below is how I know to calc the PPM for 1 gram per gallon.
Would like to verify if this applies to gypsum - accurate?

Those numbers match my back of the envelope calculations. :+1:

Then I see things like this…

http://howtobrew.com/book/section-3/understanding-the-mash-ph/using-salts-for-brewing-water-adjustment

From a different brew site…
“1 gram of Calcium Sulfate in 1 gallon of water changes the salt levels by 61.5 ppm calcium, 147.5 ppm sulfate and adds 153.5 ppm to the hardness.”

I assume it’s possible not all of the measured tds PPM are actually available elemental Ca or S ppm.

I’m likin the first numbers better , I hope that is correct haha

From my understanding, it’s the carbonates that bind with the calcium and lower the PPM of calcium in solution. Mix with RO/distilled water, and it holds true.

Yet to mix any up.
I’m also curious to see how if affects my PH stability. And if any falls out of solution.

Would be cool if you had something like a magnetic stirer , love seeing picks of them in action : )

Right on! The second grow I’m following along on with these micro octopots. A huge part of me just wants to order a set with that price. Super cheap! Can’t wait to see your results man. Tuning in!

Thanks for stopping by @kushdaddy
I’m still nervous, since this is my first time using Octo’s.

A few of my plants are Mg deffin on me. Will test this on a couple plants today. Res swap.
